Uzun yıllardır en çok tercih edilen internet sitelerinden olan sohbet siteleri son dönemde şehirlere özel olarak kurulmaya başladı. Burada amaç yaşam tarzı birbirlerine daha yakın olan kişileri aynı sanal ortamda toplayarak onların kendilerine uygun arkadaşları aramalarını engellemek. Bu da oldukça yerinde bir karar oldu ve kişiler şehirlere özel olarak kurulan bu sesli chat sitelerini kullanmaya başladı. Bu sesli siteler neredeyse ülkemizdeki her il için kurulmuş durumda. Kişiler kendi şehirlerinden kişilerin bulunduğu bu sohbet odalarına girerek kendi yaşam tarzlarına uygun olan kişilerle tanışıyorlar ve arkadaşlık kuruyorlar. Ayrıca artık sesli site adı altında kurulan bu kullanıcıları sesli ve görüntülü olarak konuşma imkânı da sunuyor.
Karadeniz'in en gözde şehirlerinden Tokat için kurulan www.tokatsesli.com/ sitesi her gün çok sayıda kullanıcıyı ağırlıyor. Siteye girdiğinizde karşınıza kullanımı çok kolay olan bir sohbet sitesi çıkıyor. Siteye girdikten sonra ana sayfada yer alan büyük resme tıklayarak sohbet odalarına giriş yapabilirsiniz. Sonrasında ise sizlerle benzer bir hayat süren ve aynı dertleri paylaşan ve arkadaşlığınızı ilerlettiğinizde rahatlıkla görüşebileceğiniz kişilerle aynı sohbet odasında bulunacaksınız. Bu aşamadan sonra yalnızca iyi zaman geçirip güzel arkadaşlıklar kurmak kalıyor. Site kullanıcılarından herhangi bir üyelik şartı istemiyor. Ayrıca üyelikte de herhangi bir ücret talep edilmiyor. Bu sebeple istediğiniz her an ücretsiz olarak siteye giriş yapabilir ve sohbete başlayabilirsiniz.

Have you ever felt like you couldn't leave a place even if you wanted to?
The internet has been an addiction for me, maybe because all I've gotten was attention on it. Either if it were Dailybooth, Tumblr, Youtube, whatever, I got the attention I wanted from people. I gained friends that I've always wanted in real life.
Lately I've been slowly losing interest in those sites because I finally found friends of my own in my real life. Not only have I've been losing interest in the sites, but everyone on those sites have been losing interest in me.
But you can't choose, you either have your internet friends and be stuck crying about how your life is pathetic and miserable, or you do something about it, get out and finally let go of a fantasy world that can't fulfill your true needs.
I think I've started to realize that.
Even if I have to say goodbye to my internet life, the "fame" which is bullshit to say anyone has on there, and finally go out, live my life and be happy!

Conus Shell Beads:
Originally a magical possession of the medicine man, the Conus shell acquired monetary value as it traveled from East Africa. It was introduced in Western Africa in the 16th century.
The beads were cut from the crest of the conical shells and then polished smooth, creating a spiral disc. Ornaments made from Conus were also believed to act as powerful charms, amulet and talisman found in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, DRC, Mali and Burkina Faso, etc. They also indicated the high status and wealth of their owners. All beads are in the collection of MBAD/ABA African Bead Museum.
