Here is the almost finished kitchen, we recently added walnut all around the interior of the cabinets and above the hood.
I designed the kitchen, sourced the marble and wrapped the inexpensive IKEA island cabinets with walnut to elevate the look.
Toaster and microwave are hidden on the interior of the island.
Espresso machine is hidden in pull out pantry drawer.
The right side of the kitchen features custom walnut doors which hide a washer dryer and lots of upper storage.
We still need to install the recycled pendants by Brooklyn designer Rogan, install walnut around the hood and add the silver trunk to the hood. And get a better pot for that orchid!

Isometric view and enlarged floor plan of the kitchen. Kitchens were required of this project, and isometric is easier to do when you've got mostly straight lines. This also helps you see the details better; I just wish I'd had more time to add more of those details. Maybe I will at some point, for the heck of it.
This is the cardboard study model I made of the living cube, the design of which went through another change before I made the larger half-scale model. (The final has two, larger skylights, the position of the pop-up roof changed, and the two large ovals went away.
(that's what I had up there in my head; now all my sleazy memories are kept in a nice mid-century German jar together with my cat porcelain biscuits). I can't help it, I love interior design.
purchased this old hospital cart from CHKD thrift in williamsburg, varnished it to prevent further rust. hexagon glass display cases from goodwill.
The back of the house. My inspirations were Richard Meier, Moshe Safdie, Alvar Aalto and ancient Greek temples.

We believe, Interior design is a combination of art and science to achieve a serene, healthy and pleasing living environment.
A better, closer view of mostly the two point perspective. If you think all of this looks like a lot of work: you're right.
All of this series was done with Micron on 24"x36" drafting vellum.
