One of the great perks at my job is finding these odd old things. Didn't notice it until it one day started shouting at me and I couldn't figure out how to reply, so naturally I picked up the phone.

Every room in the house has one of these, then there's a main one upstairs by the kitchen. It doesn't really work though unfortunately, if you hit buttons it just squawks at you and through other intercoms in the house.
