This piece, inspired by the "The Treachery of Images" pipe painting by René Magritte, mirrors that famous work with the suggestion that although the sign claims the availability of assistance through the mediation of an intercom, the assistance which is described will not be forthcoming, just as the pipe in the painting was not, in fact, a pipe: just an emotionally unsatisfying painting of a pipe.

Fitting HID lights to you motorbike or car greatly increases your visibility during the day as much as it allows you to see better at night. HID lights for motorcycles draw less power than your original bulbs so for example a 55 Watt HID light replacing the standard 55 Watt filament bulb with only draw 35 Watts from your alternator making you alternator work less. On top of this Motorbike HID lights are 300% brighter than normal lights. Here at www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk we use 6000 Kelvin bulbs with an array of fitments including but not limited to:- H1, H3, H7, and H11.
Motorcycle HID lights come in two parts the bulb and the ballast with starter. The bulbs are easy to fit and we have yet to find a bike that we have not been able to fit the kits too! The normal lighting systems of motorbikes is shockingly poor and HID lights add a considerable visual presence to your bike! We have found that HID’s it greatly reduce car drivers pulling out on you on those all too often lane changes where they appear not to have even noticed your there! Bulbs last longer as there is no filament to break and changing both Dip beam and Main is recommended as the HID’s are so good it tends to render your normal Main beam useless! Installation time for a main and dip beam is 1 and half hours approx!
This was in one of the mansions we toured last week. The home was built in 1911. This was in the kitchen and there were similar panels in other rooms of the house, but this is the only one that still has the receiver attached.
Last night, our new Wireless Intercom System Bolero was deployed at the „Deutscher Radiopreis“ in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Our partner NDR used a total of 5 antennas and 16 beltpacks to cover the auditorium, backstage area, and foyer.
Audio Video Master Station - The AX-8MV is an audio video master station for the AX Series. The unit is CAT-5e homerun wired to it's CEU and features a 3 -1/2" TFT monitor, an oversized TALK button to activate the VOX or PTT style communication, door call-in indicator, call button for other master stations in the system, a call tone volume control and a button for door release. The AX-8MV can communicate to 8 masters and 8 door stations. Add-on selectors (AX-16SW) can be added to increase the number of doors to maximum 120.
Pretty much everytime I've walked by this doorway, there has been an alarm going off.
I now realise it must be a 'please fix me' alarm, judging by the wording on this newly added note.

EARLY DUKANE INTERCOM
STATION-TO-STATION OPERATION
The first intercoms used at White Sands Proving Ground were Langevin units, high-level, high-output (90 volts) intercoms for open-wire lines and field wire, needed to send signals a long distance (for instance, from main post to Rhodes Canyon). It also operated over circuits that had been broken by vehicle mishaps or missile impact.
Around 1955, the Langevin was replaced by the Dukane intercoms. These units were installed at most range locations and were equipped with headsets or hand mikes.
I heard them on the intercom yesterday and went out and gathered them up from their scattered places and weighed the female at 6# 14oz and the male at 9# 1oz. The Mother had left her so she had hid behind a tub. The mother had lain down by the male. They were hollering because it was 18°F out and they thought it was too cold to be wet, I would have hollered too.
