Integrity Above All
The great figural sculptures on the NYSE building’s façade are among the building’s most recognizable and photographed features.
In 1903, John Quincy Adams Ward, a prolific and well-known American sculptor, designed the pediment.
Entitled “Integrity Protecting the Works of Man,” the classical design depicts the 22 foot figure of Integrity in the center, with Agriculture and Mining to her left and Science, Industry and Invention on her right, representing the sources of American prosperity. The waves on either extreme of the pediment symbolize the ocean-to-ocean influence of the Exchange.
In 1936, due to the combined effects of the statuary’s weight—90 tons—together with the ravages of pollution and flaws in the marble, the Exchange replaced the marble figures with lead-coated replicas weighing only 10 tons.

The Karpenters
The Karpenters were formed in 2002, with the intention of being much more than just a tribute band. A great effort has been made to fully retain the integrity of the Carpenters music. Every note from the smallest percussion part to richness of the huge backing vocal sound have been meticulously transcribed, recreating the unique sounds of The Carpenters to perfection.
The show incorporates all the wonderful hits of the Carpenters as this six piece live band take you on a nostalgic journey through the life and times of the Carpenters, performing all the hits including "Close to you", "Masquerade", "Top of the World", "Sing", "Rainy Days and Mondays", "Superstar" and "Please Mr. Postman" to name but a few. The unmistakable sound and costumes make this the most authentic and accurate tribute show the world has ever seen!
As well as the ongoing 'Top of the World' Tour in the UK, The Karpenters are currently negotiating tours in Europe, America, and the Far East.

I had the pleasure of finally going to Citi Field to see my beloved yet heartbreaking New York Mets play in their new ballpark. Just like the majority of the people there, I was thoroughly impressed by the beauty and magnificence the stadium holds. Citi Field may be worlds apart from Shea Stadium but I'll never forget it.
This picture here is of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda as I stood on the second floor. Crowds of fans continued to pour in below Jackie's great quote for a rare, sunny Wednesday afternoon game.
