“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.”

AMAZING GRACE – CHEROKEE - PRAYER
GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
I never dreamed you and I would be friends
but let's give peace a chance
I get tangled up in my mind sometimes
and it leads me a merry dance
I know the Lord works in mysterious ways
and I'm open to suggestion
for it doesn't do me good to be crying all the time
in fact it gives me indigestion
so let's try for another amazing day
and another after that
and who knows before the year is out
all the past will be old hat
So many little English idioms
keep springing to my mind
and I know that time heals most everything
if we can find it in our hearts to be kind
we are all the same beneath the skin
yet we may have different points of view
but when everything is said and done
you are me and I am you
so let's begin again only better this time
leave the past where it belongs
I know, like me, you love poetry
and I hope you like some of my songs
I give all I have to my songs and poems
and express my emotions this way
so I can walk in perfect harmony
leaving all my troubles to yesterday.
There are no winners in any war
there is only loss and sorrow
let me be an instrument of Your peace, dear Lord
and with You make a better tomorrow.

The lower section of the Yarra River runs through the heart of Melbourne City and was instrumental in making Melbourne into the city it is today. Most of Melbourne’s attractions are in close vicinity to the river. This image of the SouthBank precinct with it's promenade along the river with lots of restaurants and the famous Casino.
Over the last year I've been writing and recording an instrumental album. Its available to listen to here on Spotify -https://open.spotify.com/album/5KkHmd6GVzGJ8IOw1U23s7?si=qBEKWk15TUCijvVuGs1MXw
A flamenco guitarist and saxophonist share an intimate musical dialogue on stage, their performance reflecting both concentration and joy.
Captured at FITS - Sibiu Theatre Festival. The Flamenco Machine Project is comprised of saxophonist Gautama del Campo, guitarist and singer Ezequiel Reina, flamenco dancer Gero Domínguez, and Jaime Trancoso playing the flamenco machine.
#4 in the "King Crimson Series", in the "Frame by Frame" challenge created by Paul B0udreau. It's a great idea, one that I'd never heard of before, where two artists create their own 2 person challenge and then submit them back and forth, alternating between them. It gets one out of their comfort zone and hopefully into something they'd never considered to tried before.
For this challenge I'm utilizing a hand technique that I saw an amateur friend of mine doing when I had explained how to do "Pano-sabotage" to him. It was yet another eye opener and it fits perfectly with Paul's challenge to create more vertical images using the Pano-Sabotage technique, which for the most part, has been a very horizontal medium. Paul's challenge and my friend's innocent experiment come together perfectly for me to try to do something differently than usual.
The only processing done on this image was achieved by using colour filters and a very slight bit of mottled texture. The composition and the distortion was all achieved by the Pano-Sabotage technique which happens INSIDE the camera at the moment of capture. It does not occur as a result of software programs such as Photoshop.
As Paul points out in his latest instalment, #4 in his series, the strangest thing has been going on. Unbeknownst to each other we've been chosing the same songs for use from a band who, all totalled, have probably released at least 50 recordings. Funny too that we chose the same song for our #4's but we also both chose a street corner as our subjects. Curiouser and curiouser. It's been uncanny that this keeps happening. It makes me wonder about ideas such as Carl Jung's collective unconscious or Ervin Laszlo's "Akashic Field", perhaps even Rupert Sheldrake's "Morphogenetic Field".

The King Crimson musical selection for this image was immediately apparent to me when I went to chose a title for it. "Fracture", from their album "Starless and Bible Black", seemed to fit the sequenced but deconstructing world view witnessed here. The instrumental piece starts out with intricate figures and builds in power and intensity, eventually producing a feeling of menace and gigantic forces.

Piano Through Glass!
This is SOOC with no cropping or software modification whatsoever. I considered cropping the right side of the image where the power outlet is but decided that maintaining the reflection continuity of the trees, lights and buildings off of the painting on the wall was more definitive.
This piano is on display for sale in a store in Winter Park, Fl. The shot was taken from the outside through the glass window showing the reflection of the building behind me and across the street. It's also showing trees and shrubs on the other side of the street as well as sunlight reflections shining directly off of the piano..

The Navajo Code Talkers were instrumental in US Marine Corps victories in WWII. They are highly respected and revered among the Navajo. They are dying out and will soon be memories

Every WWII combatant appreciated the need for an unbreakable code that would help them communicate while protecting their operational plans. The U.S. Marines knew where to find one: the Navajo Nation. Marine Corps leadership selected 29 Navajo men, the Navajo Code Talkers, who created a code based on the complex, unwritten Navajo language. The code primarily used word association by assigning a Navajo word to key phrases and military tactics. This system enabled the Code Talkers to translate three lines of English in 20 seconds, not 30 minutes as was common with existing code-breaking machines. The Code Talkers participated in every major Marine operation in the Pacific theater, giving the Marines a critical advantage throughout the war. During the nearly month-long battle for Iwo Jima, for example, six Navajo Code Talker Marines successfully transmitted more than 800 messages without error. Marine leadership noted after the battle that the Code Talkers were critical to the victory at Iwo Jima. At the end of the war, the Navajo Code remained unbroken.

Window Rock (Navajo: TségháhoodzánÃ-) is a census-designated place that serves as the seat of government and capital of the Navajo Nation, the largest territory in North America of a sovereign Native American nation.[2] The capital lies within the boundaries of the St. Michaels Chapter, adjacent to the Arizona and New Mexico state line. Window Rock is the site of the Navajo Nation governmental campus, which contains the Navajo Nation Council, Navajo Nation Supreme Court, the offices of the Navajo Nation President and Vice President, and many Navajo government buildings.
Window Rock's population was 2,712 at the 2010 census.[3] It is estimated to reach around 20,000 during weekdays when tribal offices are open.[citation needed]
Window Rock's main natural attraction is the window formation of sandstone which the community is named after. The Navajo Nation Museum, the Navajo Nation Zoological and Botanical Park, and the Navajo Nation Code Talkers World War II memorial are tribal attractions located in Window Rock.

The penultimate track on the instrumental album Cold Night which is out on 22nd December. I wrote and recorded this track last night and seemed like a good track to put on it. I have a lot of tracks with another album next year too. Listen to more here on Spotify - open.spotify.com/artist/752ciesRoBvJIJjoCagiMw
The elephant herd is led by the oldest and largest female cow known as the matriarch. She is usually the one who was the most closely related to the previous matriarch. The rest of the herd is made up of the matriarch's other daughters and their calves. These ones gravitate naturally around the matriarch, making her quite simple to identify. She influences the herd more than any other group or individual. As the first and oldest mother, the matriarch is instrumental in teaching her daughters how to care for their own young. Once they start to bear babies, their sisters will assist in childcare. This provides training for them, preparing them for their own first calves.
