Installation of basic Weather Station. I dont like heights, but the local aerial installer wouldn't do the job.
So it was left to me. What you don't see in the picture is the fact the the ladder is on top of the pitched roof of the garage.
When the batteries need replacing i will be installing a mini solar panel instead.

The sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's life work, comprising over 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron. It was installed mainly in the period 1940-1949, but is nevertheless a result of over 40 years of work. The starting point for the park is Vigeland's Fountain, which was originally meant to be placed at Eidsvolls plass in front of the Parliament. These plans were never realized, and the Fountain later became part of Vigeland's more extensive park plans.
In 1924, the city council agreed that the sculptor's monumental Fountain was to be erected in Frogner Park. At that time, Vigeland's park project had expanded to include the Monolith and the Bridge.
The Monolith stands at the highest point in Vigeland Park, and measures 17 meters above ground. The sculpture is carved out of one stone block, hence the name. The stone was originally shot out of the quarry in Iddefjord, Norway, and transported to the park during the late 1920s.
The sculpture depicts 121 human figures clinging and floating together. There's women and men of different ages, and the top of the Monolith is crowned with children. The sculpture has been interpreted as a kind of vision of resurrection, and our longing and striving for spirituality.
The Bridge's 58 bronze sculptures show a rich variety of children, women and men of different ages. Here you find the iconic little boy Sinnataggen (The Angry Boy). Shared themes for the sculptures on the Bridge are play, lust, energy and vitalism.
Vigeland modeled these sculptures in the period 1925-1933. They were some of the first sculptures that were mounted in Vigeland Park in the early 1940s.
Beyond the Bridge, the path continues through a rose garden to the Fountain, the earliest sculpture unit in the park.
In the center of the basin six giants hold the large saucer-shaped vessel aloft and from it a curtain of water spills down around them. The men, representing different ages, may be interpreted as toiling with the burden of life.
Water, a universal symbol of fertility, is used within the fountain complex in a meaningful juxtaposition with the twenty tree groups on the surrounding parapet, the latter evidently symbolising "the three of life".
The tree groups represent a romantic expression of Man's relationship to nature. They also form the setting for life's evolving stages, stretching from childhood and adolescence through adulthood to old age and death.

Described as “the weirdest statues in the world” by the Daily Mail, Vigeland’s sculptures are a reflection on (and celebration of) life in all its strange and wonderful forms. The figures are studies of the wonder of the human body at every stage. They reveal the full range of human emotions, including those not usually celebrated, such as anger and violence. These include Man Throwing Woman Over His Head and Man Attacked by Babies, showing a father struggling with the responsibilities of parenthood.
Through Vigeland’s work, we can confront our own feelings about ourselves and those around us, and perhaps consider our place in the cycle of life. Equally, by giving everyone access to his sculptures in a free city park, Vigeland makes it clear that these emotions – like his work – are universal.
