My best attempt to date at catching in flight insects. As these were somewhat preoccupied they stayed a little more still than many others I've tried to capture

Just a shot of Japanese Beetles doing what Japanese Beetles mostly do. The show up, they mate like crazy, devour all of my hibiscus and crepe myrtles, then they disappear. Currently, they're everywhere.

Insect love! Haven't had much of a chance to get out with the camera this week so dug some old shots out of the archive. This was taken at Derwent Dam in the Peak District back in August
It's widely known that although they are small and cute, the little green bugs are big on bad pickup lines. Poor ladybug was surrounded by them. Sigh. It's going to be a long night.
