The insane aurora on October 24th in Abisko national Park.
I made this night a tremendous number of photos in all direction : the aurora was everywhere.

Insanely good hunter cum ultimate bad*ss.
The owl typically has 3 talons pointing forwards and one pointing backwards. It can swivel one of the front toes backwards. This talon arrangement enables the owl to spread the talons out wide to increase the chance of a successful strike, and also to grasp with crushing pressure to make sure that the unfortunate prey can not get free easily.
Cool facts from Google search:
-A Great-horned Owl's talon can exert a pressure from 200 to an incredible 500 pounds per square inch (psi).
-Golden Eagle's talon: 400 to 700 psi.
-German Shepherd's bite force: 240psi.

Fearsome , horrifying , insane and in how they seem to be in severe pain and agony these Creeps. Maybe they were once human and punished , possessed by the demons..or maybe they are failed experiments , doomed to wake up and slowly die from insanity , not able to feed their never ending hunger for warm sweet flesh?
See the horror in them or see the sad tales behind the faces…it’s all up to you what you make from my creeps but I myself enjoy to play with the mood that each of them offers.
As much that I enjoy fantasy and magic do I have a liking for the dark and the vicious creatures too.
Alas in real has wi-fi been down for a while now.. but it gave me a chance to really take a seat and work little by little, day by day on this picture. I promised that more would come so here it goes , another shrieking sharp toothed Creep.
Or…you can be a total Resident Evil fan and cry out “ Ow ow ow!! It’s one of those Resident Evil Umbrella dudes!!!”. If you do , i totally agree with you because he made me think of those drooling crawlers too!

We set off early today to escape the Miss Grim Fludir. Even fore went breakfast so that we could see the famous Black church of Budir and the conical mountain of Kirkjufell. It had put down more snow overnight and gale force winds with heavy rain and temperature of 1-2 degrees, as blocked roads, made our 600 km round trip for the day pretty tortuous.
We did arrive at Kirkjufell. There was no one else mad enough to be there. Conditions were horrendous.
Even getting out of the car was difficult against the wind but the rain lashed ice was impossible to walk on. I focused on walking where the wind would blow me if I kept my feet still. Towards the edge. It was dicey as hell. I made it to somewhere I could stand and get a shot. With my phone.

Y busqué una tela de textura fuerte para acurrucarme en ella y me arrodillé e intenté apretarme fuerte a mi misma, buscando la oscuridad que deja el olvido y poder salir de esta locura del pasado pero no dejaba de escuchar una y otra vez esa canción..
Y él me decía sin parar "come back, come back"
Y su voz penetrante entraba en mi, haciéndome sentir extremo placer y seguía en mi cabeza golpeando con recuerdos del pasado que no estoy segura de querer olvidar, mientras retumbaba ese"come back" y yo dude si volver o no.
Pensaba ella mientras estaba tirada en el suelo,intentando huir pero no fue tarde cuando se dio cuenta, de que era él, el que se había ido.
Entonces ella solo pensó ....en levantarse y salir de esa tela del pasado que la envolvía con tanta fuerza.
Gracias a mi colega Anis por ayudarme a hacer esta foto..ahí estoy arrodillada con mi demencia ;)
