On May 3, 2023, the Port Authority tested the viability of cargo delivery by an unmanned aircraft across the Hudson River. The test payload? A 10-ounce box of Girl Scout Raspberry Rally cookies, to highlight the agency's educational patch with the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey.
The agency followed the successful pilot with the issuance of a Request for Innovation.
