Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. The challenge this week was to build something using only one single color throughout the entire build.

I went for my one of my favorites colors in my favorite scale: tan and microscale!

It feels like we're going in circles these days, going up and down and never getting anywhere...

Week 7 of InnovalLUG's Style it up contest - where no one else is building...

So I'll just continue playing my own game!

I watched Moana for the first time this week and really loved it. The water is so beautiful in the movie but nearly impossible to recreate out of Lego. I wish there was a better way to do really smooth flowy water, but with square Lego you're always going to get some sharp edges.

I'm quite disappointed in my photography, if anyone knows some secret on how to streamline the process, please tell me. I find myself dreading the photography because it seems to take twice as long as the actually building and still turns out bad. I debated whether to even post because I know better presentation is possible. Ah well, you win some you loose some.

Brick by brick, I shall assemble thee.

it's the 4th week of #InnovalLUG's Style it Up contest, and I enter my 4th #McEscher build...

This time I tackle one of the simpler, yet thought provoking pieces.

Again this combines rules from all weeks: Monochromatic, Symmetrical, built on 4 Studs, and no studs showing.

Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. This week's task called for a build using only one colour.

When I read the category I was torn between making something conceptual or something realistic. But after watching the Last Crusade (and double checking my stock of tan) the decision turned out to be an easy one!

Might have to dabble in architecture building more often - this was a lot of fun!

Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. This week's challenge was to build something that stands on a maximum of 4 studs.

At first I did not want to build this, thought there would be so many similar entries. When the fifth day of the contest came I realized that this concept isn't something overdone. So I just went with it. It is as flimsy as it looks. It stands on a total of 9 plates. Tried to go with for a walker that was made out of pieces that were found on the junkyard. And after it was made it served as a gatherer... Reminds me of 2 things pretty much:an elephant, and Captain Rex's AT-TE.

Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. The Final challenge was to build something with no exposed studs. A requirement I have achieved by...making exposed studs!

Thanks to everyone involved with the contest, organisers & fellow competitors alike, its been a fun - albeit stressful - 4 weeks! :D

Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. Balance is the name of the game as this week's challenge was to build something that stands on a maximum of four studs/equivalent.

It seems I just can't get enough of the Mars Mission colour scheme! Not much to say here, only that Its a heavy spaceship-crane balanced on just x4 minifigure drill tips - what could possibly go wrong?! :D

Also Mars evidently has a mouse problem.

On this picture you can see all the places it is touching the ground.

Built for InnovalLUG's 'Style it up' contest. The challenge this week was to build something totally symmetrical.

With over half the time gone and still nothing to show for it, I ended up combining my first two entry ideas into a single build – no prizes for guessing what they were! ;D
