Seasonal changes cause many things. During the storms, reach out and be kind to those in need.
✈️ : Longing Melody
How long have I been in this storm?
So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head
If I could just see you
Everything would be alright
If I'd see you
This darkness would turn to light
And I will walk on water
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
I know everything is alright
I know you didn't bring me out here to drown
So why am I ten feet under and upside down?
Barely surviving has become my purpose
'Cause I'm so used to living underneath the surface
Such a beautiful feeling of inner peace watching them trying to touch the sky.
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment, so I can visit you, too...much appreciated!
Hmmm... as I sat there thinking in the chilly winter evening.. what should 2023 bring.. what are my resolutions... ponders this...
I know what my resolutions are, do you? :)
Wishing you all A Happy New Year!
🎼: Cigarettes and Alcohol ~ Oasis ~
✈️ : Astoria 2022
Is it my imagination
Or have I finally found something worth living for?
I was looking for some action
But all I found was cigarettes and alcohol
You could wait for a lifetime
To spend your days in the sunshine
You might as well do the white line
Cos when it comes on top...
You gotta make it happen!
Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for?
It's a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol!
The state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled
Enjoy your weekend...be sure to take sometime for yourself and just breathe.
Kind regards from your friend,
Christie
I can't stop this feeling. the smiling won't stop...
🎼: Got this Feeling~ Justin Timberlake~
✈️ : LeMonde Perdu
Everybody sing
(I can't stop the feeling)
Got this feeling in my body
(I can't stop the feeling)
Got this feeling in my body
(I can't stop the feeling)
Wanna see you move your body
(I can't stop the feeling)
Got this feeling in my body
Break it down
Got this feeling in my body
Can't stop the feeling
Got this feeling in my body, come on
Sometimes you have to stop, take that breath, let go of the past, and allow the future to come in. Relax and let go of the bad and embrace the good, each day is a new day.
✈️ : Aoi-ike
I'm writing the future
I'm writing it out, loud.
We don't talk about the past
We don't talk about the past, now
So I'm writing the future
I'm leaving a key here
Something won't always be missing
It won't always feel empty, here
Just think of the future
And think of your dreams
You'll get away from here
You'll get away eventually
So just think of your future
Think of a new life
Don't get lost in the memories
Keep your eyes on a new prize
Wishing everyone a peaceful start of the week! And may we be focused and serene like this little owl!
Thanks a lot for your visits, comments, faves, invites, etc. Very much appreciated!

✈️ : Paradise on the sea
I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming
But, there's a voice inside my head saying
You'll never reach it
Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
But I, I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down, but
No, I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments, that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
Serenity is maintaining a sense of inner peace even in difficult situations. We gain serenity by accepting the things we cannot change and focusing our energy where we can make a difference.
Fear, anger or desire can create a sense of urgency that triggers us to react impulsively. When this happens, we risk undermining our goals, damaging relationships--even violating our deepest values. By contrast, when we cultivate serenity, we don’t fear our emotions, but we do keep them in balance. We govern ourselves rather than being ruled by external circumstances and our feelings about them.
Meditative practices, contemplation, physical exercise and self-regulation skills all can help us to maintain a serene, peaceful state of mind. This mental state in turn frees us to live thoughtfully and intentionally. When we hold onto our own sense of serenity, we help others to keep theirs.

For this second last theme of the year…peace…I have photographed Otis and Fleur again in a festive setting.
For me, the holiday season is about peace, giving and forgiving, and inner joy. I don't want gifts for Christmas - what I want is world peace. I know that's asking a lot, and I don't expect it to happen, but we can start small. We can smile at others as they walk by - just a smile will often melt a heart and make someone's day. We can accept others as they are, even if they are completely different from us. We can respect others, because each of us expects to be respected. We can be positive, and live each moment to its fullest, as we really don't know if it is our last. And we can love without expecting anything in return. I believe that all these things will bring inner peace, and that's a start. It's not easy, but it's a goal to work towards.
Rumi said, "Out beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.
That's my philosophical post for the year….
Finding peace. Finding your inner peace. Finding positivity in todays world.

Being in nature with my camera brings me relaxation and inner peace
I don't like fishing, but I can sit on this dock for half an hour and enjoy watching the fish and ducks. The autumn reflections in the canal water are breathtaking. Perfect for those of us who seek those moments of peace, in communion with nature. Have a beautiful weekend! ❣

🎹✨ And now . . . . . . . the Orchestra reaches its crescendo ✨🎻
Today with this song – The Sound of My Wings
💛✨ Waterfalls of Dreams I feel Blessed by the Journey ✨💛
Before I share these new page of my journey . . .
I would love to invite you into something very close to my heart . . .
Little pieces of my story . . . .
Little fragments of my dreams . . . . . .
But now something is changing . . .
🎹✨ The orchestra is beginning to play ✨🎻
The melodies are finding each other . . . . . . .
The memories are weaving together . . . . . . . . . . . .
And the journey is becoming something greater than a single song ✨💛✨🎻🎹✨
Let's continue the journey . . .
Taxi: ✨🌌 Waterfalls of Dreams ~WoD~ 🌌 ✨
More of this will be revealed to you day by day enjoy it . . .
Over the past months I created an album called
💛✨ Waterfalls of Dreams ✨💛
Album: ✨🌌 Waterfalls of Dreams . . . . 🌌 ✨
If you feel called to listen,
I hope you will find a little piece of yourself somewhere within it. ✨💛
Each song tells a different part of the journey.
Each melody carries a memory.
Each notebecame a piece of the story.
Sometimes life closes a chapter . . .
not to take something away . . .
but to make space for something new.
Looking back, I see so many moments,
so many lessons,
so many dreams that carried me further than I ever imagined.
And today . . .
my heart is simply filled with gratitude.
For every beginning.
For every ending.
For every person who became part of my story.
Waterfalls of Dreams exists again . . .
and somehow it feels like coming home.
A new book . . .
A new chapter . . .
A new beginning . . .
I feel blessed.
Blessed by the journey.
Blessed by the people I met along the way.
Blessed by the beauty I found even in difficult moments.
And most of all . . .
blessed to still be dreaming. ✨💛
Lasst uns die Reise fortsetzen . . .
Heute mit diesem Song: The River Flows Within Me – Orchestra Version
💛✨ Waterfalls of Dreams ✨💛
so viele Lektionen,
Waterfalls of Dreams existiert wieder . . .
gesegnet, noch immer träumen zu können. ✨💛

In my minds eye I see, you have no control of me. The internal will of freedom is set free, this I truly know to be. This is in my mind, you cannot control me, you see!

Perched in quiet majesty, the long-tailed macaque seems to pause time itself. In this fleeting moment, caught between instinct and awareness, a flicker of understanding stirs behind the eyes. This portrait reminds us that presence — in any form — is the first step toward enlightenment.

—Sandy Gingras
The tide was rising and the sea was rough. Between the waves crashing against the rocks and feeling the sea breeze, I felt great inner peace.
◾(I'm only posting photos from my vacations and old photos, for now. My right wrist is recovering from a sprain. I'll be fine soon.)
Today, I walk among ancient trees, guided by the gentle light of a world I wish were more peaceful.
Through this image, I’m sending you waves of peace, comfort, and hope.
May the flutter of doves reach your heart,
and even in the chaos, may you find a moment of calm —
a space to breathe, to love, to dream.
💫 For peace in the world, and within each of us.
A path through public gardens in Ibi draws the eye toward a distant vanishing point, the bilateral symmetry of bare branches against a hard blue sky suggesting something older and more absolute than municipal horticulture. The path is empty except for a marble statue of dual figures embracing.
In Buddhist and Hindu tradition, Dharma is not a destination but a path — the righteous way through the world, ordered by natural and cosmic law.
This is my sanctuary, where the day unwinds and quiet takes hold.
Soft pink shadows cradle stillness, inviting rest without rush or demand.
A space made for letting go and simply being at peace.

“Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally,” says Jon Kabat-Zinn.
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.
I discovered the MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) a few months ago and followed the 8 weeks program.
Over these 8 weeks I felt happier and more centered. I am definetely more compassionate with myself, and my communication has gotten clearer with those around me. The most amazing part for me is that I wake up in the morning overhelmed by an unexpected joy and noticing things I have not prior because I was focusing on the past or future. This course has been an amazing experience to me, it made my heart feel lighter, my mind open and my soul more at peace.Through everyday's meditation practice I learned to "inhabit my life" differently. A true gift! I am so grateful to this program and to my beloved teacher Myrto Legaki!

~Namaste~
They say the mind is a crowded place, a storm of static and ticking clocks. But they are wrong. Out here, past the reach of the world’s noise, it is nothing but glass and glow.
I don’t come here to fish. I come here to anchor.
The great, burning sphere ahead of me isn't a sun. It doesn't rise, and it never sets. It is a Tuesday in mid-July, thirty years ago - the exact moment I heard a specific laugh that I can no longer recreate with my own voice. Here, it stays suspended in the hazy air, warming the brim of my cap and the skin of my hands.
The boat feels heavy beneath me, but it’s a good weight. It’s the weight of being present. The water is ink-dark and perfectly silent, a reservoir of every version of myself I’ve ever been. Down there, a thousand other days are waiting for their turn to surface, but for now, I only need this one.
Some people are terrified of the silence of their own thoughts. They row toward the shore as fast as they can. But me? I’ll stay right here. I am the keeper of this light, and as long as I keep my eyes on the horizon, the best parts of me will never fade.
