When I heard that a woman from a distant circle of friends was tending an injured crow at home, I asked and I was allowed to visit her. I was allowed to hold the crow on my hand and later I was invited to a cup of coffee, where I took some of the little snakes from the terrarium in my hand (photo will come later).

A brief description of this photo:

A while ago, someone who shall remain nameless, had put out a photo with a catchy description, inviting participation. That said, I took part in said event only to suffer multiple injuries, the only one of which that I made known was the damage done to my hand by their apparatus. With that said, I was kindly rebuked in my mentioning of my injured hand. Then...in another encounter with said individual, I was told to send them my medical bill...well, since they offered. I took them up on it and on my way to mailing my bill to them, since it was tax season and they could afford my medical BILLS...ahem. I went to my mailbox to submit my envelope and tripped over another ill kept SL sidewalk, thus causing me to lose my balance and my crutch and in doing so, my envelope was taken away by a strong wind... a suspicious wind, mind you but nonetheless..my envelope was lost as well as my medical BILLS, that they were going to pay. The only proof of this, is one of the many CCTV that SL has in our cities.

If the person who is responsible for my broken hand sees this, my bill is forthcoming either by SL Postal Carrier or a strong Windlight wind!!!!

Now I'm off to pop some Oxy, as all this typing aggravated my hands, both good and broken!!!!

PS If anything is misspelled or is seen as an incomplete thought... I was in extreme pain typing this and reliving the whole experience.

This is an injured hawk that is held in captivity at the nature center, adjacent to the feeders. It seemed rather sad and resigned to its fate as it was peering out into the adjacent woodland, which is reflected in its eye.

Dancer, a Red-tailed Hawk at the aviary in Boyd Hill Park, still looks every bit the royal raptor despite the wing injury that leaves them unable to fly.

Our beautiful Mama squirrel is injured. Not sure what it is, but for 2 weeks already she's closing her left hand like in this picture and tries not to use it whenever possible. Even though she can still run and climb the trees like normal. We'll keep a close eye on her and hope she gets well soon (Squirrels-2020-0018.jpg)

Injured Greater Yellowlegs at Bombay Hook NWR on 3/9/2020.

I watched this yellowlegs for some time and the injury did not seem to impact its behavior and flight

Found this injured bee in the back garden, it clearly has had a rough time as it was missing some of its face but still managed to fly off after we had taken 20-30 shots. The injured warrior lives to fight another day.

This obviously injured Dragonfly landed briefly on a Camellia leaf in front of me, looking for some reprieve but the wind was too strong and it flew away, in search of a calmer place /

Cette Libellule blessee s'est brievement posee sur une feuille de Camelia en face de moi, a la recherche d'un peu de repit mais le vent etait trop fort et elle s'est envolee pour trouver un endroit moins expose.

I didn't notice the wound on the wrist of this poor little cutie. There were quite a few injured monkeys. The dominant males are very aggressive and sometimes vicious.

Acts like a normal Robin as he runs around the yard or takes a bath in the bird bath. We do not know how this happened.

Misty morning mood with an injured tree from probably one of the many thunderstorms we had this summer in Germany.

Thank you for your visits, comments and favs!

While the sun was coming down through the clouds, got lucky to see these reflections on the frozen lake. There was this kind of scar on the ice that made it more interesting.

A really lucky shot, but a sad story. Only when the little marten passed me, I could see that his tail was missing and a wound surrounded by flies was on his back. Nobody knows what happened. I am sad but I still hope that it will survive.

This youngster lost his leg,but pleased to see not his appetite!

Bit of a bum leg, on the side lines Sunday....

(Much better today, thanks)

Taking my beloved Kathy and my injured knee to enjoy what some say is the finest summit view in North Wales...

Who am I to argue?

Good Sunday Morning Folks, I was a little hesitant to post this image, obviously injured and not in good shape, but would like the opinion of the people out there as to what they thing the injury, besides this was on of the very last images of 2017, time to move on to some of 2018's of which I am pretty happy about, tough shooting conditions, but happy just the same.

Have a great day and thank you very much for visiting.

Gatorland Orlando has a gator missing almost the entire upper jaw named Jawlene. Does she need a partner? I found a good match today although this one has a little more of the top jaw still intact. Pretty close by too, at Orlando Wetlands Park.

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Spotted this peacock butterfly near Hadleigh Castle today. Poor little thing's missing a fair bit of both its right wings and looks like he's missing a few scales here and there. Didn't seem to bother it much and it was still able to fly alright.

My first thought on seeing this Oriental pied hornbill (anthracoceros albirostris) lying on the ground was that the bird was injured. However, it soon became apparent that this pose was merely a prelude to the bird taking a vigorous dust bath. Photographed on the island of Pangkor, in Malaysia.

This poor little bird has a damaged foot.

The little chickadee with the disfigured foot has been a frequent visitor to our feeder.

Female Common ringed plover trying to protect her nest, playing injured.

When I first noticed this pelican on the shore it was huddled up and sleeping. I don't know what caused the injury; it's doubtful it was an osprey, but there have occasionally been Bald Eagles frequenting the lake. The Pelican did not appeal to be badly injured, and shortly after I took this photo, it swam off to join its companions.
