The East Indie duck is a Bantam duck breed that is believed to have originated in the USA.
They are mainly kept for show and ornamental purposes with their beautiful shiny plumage that glistens with either blue or green sheen. They, as with most Bantam duck breeds, are excellent flyers so you may have to watch this if you live in a built-up area.

Just as Second Life is a home to so many people from all walks of life, Indie Teepee aims to be the roof under which these same people may discover, enjoy and appreciate the diversity and creativity that could only previously be experienced in the real world.
Indie Teepee brings people together through their love of song and art – breaking down barriers and providing a haven for music genres like indie, alternative, rock, electronic dance music and hiphop. This year, we take it a step further to include into our home, live music performances, theatre acts, machinimas, original mesh designs, photography and a creative forum.
The success of our inaugural event in 2015 has inspired us to make sure that 2016’s Indie Teepee is a far more welcoming and cosier dwelling for everyone. In this home, there are no strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet.

I use the hooks to pull the jute through the wood beads and rattan balls. Some of our parrots like to untie the macrame knots, so I tie a few in the toys.

Il sole era fisso sopra di noi caldo e accecante, il fogliame fitto e impenetrabile ci costringeva a guardare in alto verso il cielo, il disco giallo pulsava sopra di noi quasi volesse polverizzarci tanto scottava sulla pelle, chiudere gli occhi era l'unica consolazione, in questa prospettiva limitata tutto era insopportabilmente "addosso". Solo il vento riusciva a ribellarsi a cotanta prepotenza penetrando tra le foglie come un volo di rondini, improvviso a ondate sembrava fresco nonostante i trentacinque gradi, lo sentivi insinuarsi leggero e furtivo quasi ad indicare una via di fuga attraverso il verde.
In the Wild Indies I caught myself looking ... green. The sun was fixed above us hot and blinding, the thick and impenetrable foliage forced us to look up at the sky, the yellow disc pulsed above us as if it wanted to pulverize us so much it burned on the skin, closing our eyes was the only consolation, in this limited perspective everything was unbearably "on". Only the wind was able to rebel against such arrogance penetrating among the leaves like a flight of swallows, sudden in waves it seemed fresh despite the thirty-five degrees, you could feel it creep lightly and stealthily as if to indicate an escape route through the green.

I haven't done one of these in awhile and this one is worth it! Julia Jacklin is a really lovely Aussie indie folk-rock singer/guitarist who opened for Andy Shauf at Lincoln Hall this past Saturday. I liked her much better than him.

I ended up taking 6,000 (yes, you are reading that correctly) photos of Grimes and some of them turned out pretty ok. Still tons of photo editing going on and all day was spent travelig and sleeping to recover from the post Coachella let down of returning back to reality.

Sadly, Indie passed away three weeks ago. At 18 years old, she had a fabulous life and I know her owner misses her very much.
