Agra (India) - Don't trust the environment. As a general rule, despite a lack of health regulations, you rarely get sick when you eat the dishes of this type of establishment. The trick is to avoid raw foods like vegetables. An adventurous gastronomic experience certainly, but far from sanitized industrial food. Well, I'm not going to assure you that it's organic and gluten-free.

Our recent visit to Dakshin Restaurant on Belgrave Road in Leicester, surprised us by the lovely wall mural that they have had painted. Lovely colours and a marvellous peacock! The restaurant is a vegetarian place specialising in South Indian Food.

Apparently this is the oldest Indian restaurant in east London, having opened in 1939.

The Lasani Indian Restaurant in Southwell is divided into two parts with the normal seating in one area and this special ‘party’ area in another.

Tulsi is very fine restaurant offering large variety of food and warm hospitality in a rustic historically preserved building. Quoted from the 'Tulsi' website

Lasani have been here for about a year after taking over an abandoned pub on Church Street in Southwell. They are really very good, with top class food and prices to match. We can testify as to how good they are!

Indian food or a haircut? Barbershop and neighbouring Indian takeaway at night, Polwarth. Quick snap with the phone camera on the walk home from work

Wondering if this building was formerly a bank?

Unable to find anything about it online.
