The sweet scented jonquil is the most indestructible and easy to grow of all garden bulbs, often surviving in abandoned gardens.
Have a good one.
A very useful groundcover perennial, often grown in dry, sunny areas with poor soil. Plants form a low, fast-spreading mat of silvery-grey leaves, studded with tiny white star flowers in late spring and early summer. An indestructible choice for difficult sites, but be sure to plant this where its spreading habit will not become a problem. Beautiful spilling over rock walls or on steep sunny slopes, used as a lawn substitute. Also grows well in tubs or mixed containers. Easily divided in spring or fall. Plants should be clipped hard or mowed (to 2 inches) after blooming to maintain a tidy habit.

Thirty years old and still going strong, Between 1992-2005, 430,000 AF-D version were made. 15 elements in 12 groups with seven bladed diaphragm it produces amazing stars when stopped down. 1:4 magnification at 35mm in Macro mode. 62mm metal thread, 670gm of solid metal and glass, it has an indestructible feel. Only shortcoming I felt was the front element moved while focusing.

The search for a new sofa continues. I pulled this faux rattan seat out of the sunroom. It is virtually indestructible (they have tried). Maybe we need a rubber couch.
I was surprised that the tree was fully out and going over so early because this particular tree usually comes into full blossom when most of the others are already finished. So I was quite disappointed but this little bouquet of nature I placed on the bench whilst Jonathan did his ulual lying flat on his back like a sun worshipper thing as usual for twenty minutes or so while i mooched around looking for other hidden places in the wood that I know off by heart..I think I know every blade of grass tbh...There was always a wooden bench in this spot but was burned down and replaced on a fairly regular basis so they tried replacing the benches with what looked like an indestructible composite type material but that sorted of melted by burning but just lasted a bit longer. The metal bench looks fairly indestructible but I wouldn’t put money on it ….

What Is a Love Lock?
A love lock is a padlock couples place on a bridge, fence, statue, or installation to commemorate their indestructible bond. Often the padlocks are engraved with the couple’s name and the date while others go further with ribbons and stickers.
The love lock tradition purportedly dates back to a Serbian World War One romance tale. Its popularity in recent years can, however, be traced to the 2006 best-selling Italian novel-turned-film, Ho Voglia di Te (“I Want You”) by Federico Moccia. In the book, a couple affixes a love lock to Rome’s Ponte Milvio bridge to declare their love unbreakable. Since then, enamoured sweethearts have been doing the same around the world.

It has certainly got a fair bit colder in the past two days . Nevertheless the garden is beginning to awaken I took these snowdrops , hellebores and violas yesterday . It is always good to see the first flowers of the new horticultural year.
I expect someone will come out with that old chestnut that the cold weather will kill the flowers off, actually it won’t . I have been cultivating this little patch of earth for almost thirty years plants always begin to flower in late January and even if they are hit by very cold weather and inches of snow they will stay well and flower away when the thaw comes . I planted the hellebores over 25 years ago they have coped with severe winters and hot and dry summers without a problem I think they are probably indestructible ….and an annual joy

I do not know what the flower is called – it had fallen from a large bush right in front of my feet and felt solid (almost waxy) and indestructible ;-)

Abgefallen und aufgehoben. Vielversprechend - das war diese Blüte an unserem ersten Abend in Südafrika auf dem Weg zurück zu unserem Hotel. Blick vom Balkon über die Bucht auf die Lichter der kleinen Stadt Gordon's Bay. Ich weiß nicht, wie die Blüte heißt – sie war von einem großen Busch direkt vor meine Füße gefallen und fühlte sich fest (fast wie Wachs) und unzerstörbar an ;-)

I was given a small piece of this plant almost 30 years ago.... it has spread all over and it's indestructible.... I love the added color it brings to the garden...
