Took this yesterday in Portage Indiana near where I'd parked for the evening. Been busy, as usual. Went into another cavern a several days ago in Independence Missouri. Much tighter than the Carthage caverns. I'll post something from there sometime down the road. It was the most challenging cavern I've been in, lots of tight turns and pretty dark and creepy. Anyway, hope everyone is having a good week and weekend ahead.

Fireworks from a local neighborhood pyrotechnics...July 4 2020

In lieu of actual fireworks this year - a memory from last year.

Have been hearing booms for nearly a month so enjoy the light without the noise.

A Republic if we can keep it together.

Unity in diversity! A street art located in a wall!

Sparklers are fun - the light, the crackle, the smell. Love 'em almost as much as fireworks.

Wishing all from the USofA a HAPPY, SAFE and a BLESSED Independence Day.

Father of all nations and ages,

we recall the day when our country

claimed its place among the family of nations;

for what has been achieved we give you thanks,

for the work that still remains we ask your help,

and as you have called us from many peoples

to be one nation,

grant that, under your providence,

our country may share your blessings

with all the peoples of the earth.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

I forgot to post a shot that I grabbed on the 4th, so I decided to post it today since this is the start of my weekend, sorta my independence from slaving to the clock.
