HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
Our day to crow against our dear friends the Brits! So happy we have a "special relationship!"
In lieu of actual fireworks this year - a memory from last year.
Have been hearing booms for nearly a month so enjoy the light without the noise.
John F. Kennedy once said, "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
The silence of so many, in both words and actions, while our veterans and their families are being deported, is deafening.

The Independence Day of Bangladesh (Bengali: স্বাধীনতা দিবস Shadhinôta Dibôs), also referred to as 26 March, is a national holiday. It commemorates the country's declaration of independence from Pakistan in the late hours of 25 March 1971 by the "Father of the Nation" Bongobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before he was arrested by Pakistani forces.
A very happy fourth to my fellow Americans.

Whatever else the Supreme Court may do, it cannot take away our right to celebrate our country’s beginnings. At least until the next election.

Wishing all from the USofA a HAPPY, SAFE and a BLESSED Independence Day.
Father of all nations and ages,
we recall the day when our country
claimed its place among the family of nations;
for what has been achieved we give you thanks,
for the work that still remains we ask your help,
and as you have called us from many peoples
to be one nation,
grant that, under your providence,
our country may share your blessings
with all the peoples of the earth.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
