Le vendredi 26 septembre, madame Day était invitée à l’inauguration du centre communautaire Caecitas Lions destiné à la formation d’une clientèle de non-voyants et d’handicapés visuels. Le centre est situé au 523 Blv. Louis XIV à Charlesbourg.
À la table : M. Nelson Turcotte, président de la Fondation Caecitas, Richard Dufour, vice-président du Club des Lions de Québec-Ancienne-Lorette, le ministre François Blais, député de Charlesbourg, AMD, Émile Loranger, maire de l’Ancienne-Lorette et Charlotte Bergeron, gouverneure des Lions du district U2.
Le centre a exigé un investissement de plus de 100,000$, entièrement financé par les deux fondations privées. Il est doté des meilleures technologies disponibles sur le marché.
