Right now I'm watching President Elect Obama's "Whistle Stop" in Baltimore. I can't believe how many people have come from so far away for the inauguration. The news just talked to someone from Alaska, California, and Georgia. I think the state has done a great job accommodating the incoming guests - one to two million people are expected!! The inauguration is costing Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia $110 million (compared to President Bush's $40 million four years ago) and is expected to bring in $700 million dollars in revenue. All police / military are on duty - my brother included (police). There has been a steady buzz of helicopters flying over head (I live 10 minutes outside the city). It's pretty wild to watch all of this unfold.

The internationally acclaimed Tanzania -born architect was the lead designer for the he National Museum of African American History and Culture, located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

I watched the ceremony on a jumbotron in Philadelphia - right in front of Independence Hall where the founders of the United States of America signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. My friend Heather shot footage of the event and recorded some interviews.
