Le 25 avril, Luc Reichert et Eric Moussier, respectivement directeur régional et directeur de l'antenne Miramas de Carrefour Market, ont inauguré le magasin en travaux depuis novembre 2015. Une superficie agrandie de 800m² qui permet désormais de proposer une offre de produits plus développée comme un rayon de produits bio ou sans gluten. Favorable au développement du commerce à Miramas, Frédéric Vigouroux a salué l'idée d'avoir favorisé les circuits courts puisque l'enseigne a développé des partenariats avec une quinzaine de producteurs locaux, orientations en phase avec les enjeux zéro déchet, zéro gaspillage engagés sur la commune.

From Born in the Sixties: The First Year of Dowling College 1968-69
Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the same Bible for all four of his Presidential Inaugurations. It is the oldest Inaugural Bible, printed in 1686, and the only one written in a modern foreign language: Dutch.

Roosevelt was sworn to the Presidency of the United States on the family's old Dutch- Bible.
This well-worn book, which traces the Roosevelt family history from 1670 records of births and marriages, was carefully packed by Mr. Roosevelt for personal transportation to Washington. He turned it over to the clerk of the Supreme Court for Chief Justice Hughes to hold when swearing the next President. With his hand on tins same book Franklin D. Roosevelt was twice sworn as Governor of New York.
As near as can be traced (says the "New-York Herald-Tribune" it is believed the book originally belonged to Nicholas Roosevelt, the son of the first Roosevelt to come to this country, Claes Martessen van Roosevelt. The latter came to the Hudson River port in 1646. All births and marriages in Franklin D. Roosevelt's side of the family are recorded on the fly leaves of the Bible up to 1840, after which there was no space left for further re cording. The Bible is written in Dutch.
Mr. Roosevelt says he can read the language just fairly well. He recalled, however, that even after the Dutch lost possession of New York in 1670 to the English, for more than 200 years the Dutch settlers carried on the language in their families in speaking or nursery rhymes. He said his own father repeated many Dutch verses brought down through the years.

The 340-room Rashtrapati Bhavan was built by Sir Edwin Lutyens with red and cream sandstone, in the middle of a sprawling 330-acre estate atop Raisina Hill. Even as efforts are made to make the place less colonial and more people-friendly, the building’s grandeur and majesty is jealously maintained by its curators. The long corridors, portraits of Viceroys and the British Royalty, and occasional pieces of modern art set aside the building as one of its kind.
The palace developed very similarly to the original sketches which Lutyens sent Herbert Baker from Simla on June 14, 1912. The British architect Edwin Landseer Lutyens design is grandly classical overall, with colours and details inspired by Indian architecture.
Various Indian designs were added to the building. These included several circular stone basins on top of the building, as water features are an important part of Indian architecture. There was also a traditional Indian chujja or chhajja, which occupied the place of a frieze in classical architecture; it was a sharp, thin, protruding element which extended 8 feet (2.4 m) from the building, and created deep shadows.
There were grilles made from red sandstone, called jalis or jaalis. These jalis were inspired by Rajasthani design. The front of the palace, on the east side, has twelve unevenly spaced columns with the Delhi order capitals. These capitals have a fusion of acanthus leaves with the four pendant Indianbells. The bells are similar in style to Indian Hindu and Buddhist temples, the idea being inspired from a Jain temple at Moodabidri in Karnataka.
Lutyens established ateliers in Delhi and Lahore to employ local craftsmen, The chief engineer of the project was Sir Teja Singh Malik, and four main contractors included Sir Sobha Singh.
Lutyens added several small personal elements to the house, such as an area in the garden walls and two ventilator windows on the stateroom to look like the glasses which he wore. The Vice regal Lodge was completed largely by 1929, and (along with the rest of New Delhi) inaugurated officially in 1931. .
