Last week Igor escaped from the zoo and lived in a public park near by.

Unfortunately he was killed by a car. /

Igor is vorige week uit de dierentuin ontsnapt en heeft een paar dagen in een park gewoond vlakbij de dierentuin.

Helaas is hij door een auto overreden en overleden.

Een prachtige expositie van het werk van Igor Mitoraj, Museum Beelden aan Zee in Scheveningen.

Waarom Igor zijn klassieke beelden "mismaakte" met spijkers en andere verwondingen is me nog niet duidelijk. De catalogus waar dit in zou moeten staan was nog niet beschikbaar voor verkoop (vertraging). In de filmzaal werd verteld dat hij met de Italiaanse regisseur Federico Fellini bevriend was. Dan is wederzijdse beïnvloeding natuurlijk niet ondenkbaar.

Maar ook zonder precies de betekenis van alles te kennen staat je niets in de weg om hier je eigen interpretatie aan te geven.
