I took an IG shot of him here that I love, but I also like this one taken with the Nikon, because you can see my older son's reflection in the glass.
I mucked up the left hand image trying to get between passing trucks. I beat the a6000 auto focus again!

The ICE software blended the out of focus, #unsharp, image on IG, with the sharp image of the centre silo!
I will have to revisit this another day and be more careful!
I think the camera focused on the bushes and barbed wire fence in the foreground....

“Sunset, Sunrise Mono Lake”
Just back in the gallery after teaching my Big Adventure in Death Valley. It was so nice to be in shorts and t-shirts again and experience some nice warm sunshine! I had another great group of students, and I gave them one heck of a tour of Death Valley and the Alabama Hills. They all did a great job learning and using my Old-School, All-In-Camera Techniques. I have a ton of new images to show from this trip, but I decided to show my very last shooting day first. After class, I visited the amazing Eureka Dunes deep in the Death Valley Back County and I have some epic shots to show from that location. Heading out from there we made it to Mono Lake just in time to capture the very best sunset I have ever seen on this unique Lake. The very high salt content of mono Lake creates these strange formations call Tufa’s. I love these fascinating formations and finally on my 5th visit to the area I got the Gallery Shots I have been looking for. That was followed up by an excellent sunrise, then it was a two-day drive to get back home. Lots more to come from this trip, thank you so much for looking!

This is probably my best IG shot from the past year. I was standing in front of a hotel downtown, shooting a building across the street and not having much luck. I was about to give up and move on when I happened to look up, and there was this flag right above my head, waving I the breeze with the sun shining through it. Sometimes the best shots turn out to be the ones you weren't looking for...
this is a spot i've returned to photograph a few times in the past year. yesterday with iphone, 35mm, and here, the diana toy lens on my digital.
i'd have done a side by side, but i thought you'd lose to much of this image by cropping it square, so the ig shot is in the comments, and also a colder season 35mm image.

Another IG shot while I sort my LR issues. Seems that iphoto recognizes the files but not LR? too much time spent trying to figure out the problem.
Here's one of Key West's famous roosters running past as I took this shot. Not sure what he was running from or to but he was hauling butt - tail feathers actually.
