There are spots that are obviously only intended to attract photographers. This is one of them, the cypresses of San Quirico d'Orcia. Two small groups of trees on green hills. Actually nothing special for a landscape photographer as it was created by humans. And yet, as you can see, it works.
The idea of having this image as a screen background was just too tempting. Ok, I wouldn't come here especially for sunrise, but for a short detour I found the result very successful. Above all, I think I was really lucky with the clouds. Without them, the photo wouldn't look nearly as good.
And although there are basically only a few trees in a meadow, visitors could actually be seen here all day long.
By the way, I've been here twice, to be exact, as I forgot my sunglasses the first time. In case anyone is interested in that detail, I found them again.
Es gibt so Spots die sind offensichtlich nur dafür gedacht Fotografen anzulocken. Dies hier ist einer davon, die Zypressen von San Quirico d'Orcia. Zwei kleine Baumgruppen auf grünen Hügeln. Eigentlich nichts Besonderes für einen Landschaftsfotografen, da es von Menschen angelegt wurde. Und doch, wie Ihr sehen könnt, es funktioniert.
Die Idee dieses Bild als Bilschirmhintergrund zu haben, war einfach zu verlockend. Ok, zum Sonnaufgang würde ich jetzt nicht extra hier her kommen, doch für einen kurzen Abstecher fand ich das Ergebnis sehr gelungen. Vor allem finde ich, dass ich mit den Wolken richtig Glück gehabt habe. Ohne die würde das Foto nicht ansatzweise so gut wirken.
Und obwohl es im Grund ja nur ein paar Bäume auf einer Wiese sind, so waren hier eigentlich den ganzen Tag über Besucher zu sehen.
Ich war übrigens, um genau zu sein, zweimal hier, da ich beim ersten Mal meine Sonnenbrille liegen gelassen hatte. Ich habe sie, falls dieses Detail jemanden interessiert, auch wieder gefunden.

Het hele idee van de trip richting de lijn Bremen-Wunstorf was om meerdere dagen te gaan fotograferen. Zo stond ook de lijn Hamburg-Hannover op het programma, met wat uitwijkmogelijkheden naar Hannover - Braunschweig of Hamburg - Berlijn.
Helaas gooide een staking roet in het eten, waardoor eigenlijk al vrij snel duidelijk werd dat donderdag de reis naar huis alweer ingezet zou worden. Het zou die dag toch al minder mooi weer worden (dat namen we voor lief), in tegenstelling tot de zonnig voorspelde vrijdag en zaterdag.
Helaas helaas, de keuze viel op de reis naar huis, maar gelukkig kon onderweg nog de vers bestickerde 186 454 "No time to waste" gefotografeerd worden bij Vehrte. De loc was onderweg met Volvo onderdelentrein 46254 uit Malmö Godsbangard naar Gent Rodenhuize.
Nouvel essai du 100mm mais cette fois en intérieur...
Exercice dans le quel je ne suis pas (encore) très à l'aise. Compo banale mais je n'avais pas grand chose sous le coude =)
J'attends beaucoup de critiques pour progresser et réussir à maitriser cette bêbête LOL
On est plusieurs à avoir des fois des journées bénies. On choisit un ou deux clichés on les développe et ont les publie. Puis, on passe à autre chose et à autre chose encore. Il en résulte souvent ce que je qualifie d'oublié. L'année 2017 a été une année du tonnerre pour les Lapones. Comme on pouvait s'y attendre, 2018 est toute autre chose dans nos régions. C'est pourquoi j'ai eu l'idée de retourner en 2017 revoir ces oubliées.
Voici la deuxième de cette série d'oubliées.
There are those days where the Stars seem to line up. They become memorable and everlasting. Last year, that day in February was one of those. It was a remarkable Great Gray Owl Year. A blistering, windy cold day and a tough walk through rough terrain was rewarded by several Great Grays which seemed oblivious of their appreciative audience.
If you're like me, you'll select your best two or three shots for publishing and then move on to other things. Those memorable days come back the following year as you see people from other parts of the world post another Great Gray, especially when there are none in your region (Great Grays around here seem to come and visit very 4th or 5th year they say). So I decided to go back and revisit that folder of images that I had completely disregarded since. So this is one those "second best".

....che mi sembra che ultimamente ce ne sia un gran bisogno....
war es heute ins Inntal zu fahren. Zwar hatte ich aufgrund der Feiertage mit reduziertem Verkehr gerechnet, aber dass ich von Sonnenaufgang bis Sonnenuntergang keinen einzigen Güterzug zu Gesicht bekam, war dann doch etwas überraschend. Immerhin konnte ich den üblichen „Beifang“ in Form der Railjets am Brenner umsetzen. Auf dem Foto ist 1293 050 mit einem Railjet aus München bei Kirchbichl zu sehen. Durch eine Verspätung lag der Zug perfekt im Licht und spiegelte sich wunderschön im Inn.
