One of Singapore's major annual cosplay convention organized by Singapore Cosplay Club, and this year's theme is Cosfest IX "Let's Make Friends".
The first event lined up for the Japanese theme will be our annual Cosfest event. Into its 9th year running, Cosfest IX – Let’s Make Friends! will definitely be the most exciting anime/cosplay convention in Singapore!
One of the highlights of this year’s event would be the Asia Cosplay Meet Championship where Asia’s best cosplayers gather to compete for the title of Number One Asia Cosplayer. We are also honored to host the regional Singapore Rounds of World Cosplay Summit. The winning pair will represent Singapore to compete with some of the world’s finest cosplayers in Japan.
Other activities/highlights that will be scheduled at the event will be:
- Cosplay Competition
- Anime Musical Live
- Anime Karaoke Competition
- Doujin/Art Booths
- Asia Cosplay Meet Championship
In the spring of 1944, with the prospect of use in the Pacific Theatre, a Spitfire IX MJ892 was converted to a float plane.
This used the same components as the earlier Mk VB conversions. Jeffrey Quill wrote: "The Spitfire IX on floats was faster than the standard Hurricane. Its handling on the water was extremely good and its only unusual feature was a tendency to "tramp" from side to side on the floats, or to "waddle" a bit when at high speed in the plane."
Soon after testing started the idea of using floatplane fighters was dropped and MJ982 was converted back to a landplane.
