Today (Sept. 22), Terremark, Verizon's IT services subsidiary, opened its NAP of Amsterdam. In an eco-friendly twist, two executives cycled to generate the six megawatts of power needed to start the facility. Featured are Maarten de Groof (left), chief commercial officer of the Schiphol Airport, and Herman Oggel, the head of Terremark's European region.
A large group of business executives, including Terremark customers, turned out for the opening of the Terremark NAP of Amsterdam, the company’s new European flagship data center. The 25,000 square foot facility is located on the grounds of the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Area.

The Terremark NAP West, a state-of-the-art data center campus, was recently expanded to meet strong enterprise demand for ultra-secure IT infrastructure and cloud computing solutions.
The expansion of the Terremark NAP West in California is part of Verizon’s global strategy to deliver IT and cloud computing solutions from strategically located data center facilities around the world.
