"Izzy warned me that Mum was testing her new glasses. She seems to be OK when she's sitting down, or leaning against the garden table, now all she needs to do, is get out for a walk and see how she does then.
"Sadly, she's still having a bit of a problem reading comments on the laptop screen, but solved that, for the moment, by increasing the font size. Which she says is a bit of a pain, poor Mum."

Super Grover is a superhero, one of his many jobs on Sesame Street. Looks like this kid is searching for Super Grover.
Super Grover is "smarter than a speeding bullet", whenever Super Grover is arriving on the scene, whoever is in distress would say "It's a bird! It's a plane!" only to say "It's Super Grover" in a disappointed voice among Grover's crash landing.

Battenkill Railroad's RS3 #4116 has molded into this scene for what seems like forever. Shushan, NY has seen it's once or twice per week passage for decades. Hopefully this view will last for more decades to come, but the aging Alco has served a lot of time for this line, predecessor, Greenwich & Johnsonville, and the Delaware & Hudson and undoubtedly have to take a final rest in the future. Let us hope I'm wrong, but in the mean time take a trip to step back in time with a leisurely day along the Battenkill.
