While I have been enjoying the fall color show that the fellow Flickr contributors that I follow have been getting, my envy is growing, especially considering the color has been so odd this year. A dry summer and late warmth has left color unbalanced and hit and miss. Over the last few days, though, color has started to show itself better, and given the spots I checked today, peak near me will likely be this weekend and early next week. So, while the GLC ONTN today passed through some that was near peak, it's close, but just not perfect...

On my early morning walk and far from home and it's going to rain.
I'm going to wet again - nothing too much unusual these last few months. But luck held. The slight breeze moved the overcast and by the time I got home it was quite bright - sunshine came much later in the morning.

omg, it's been a long time since i saw a decent sunset. i drove like mad when i saw that the setting sun was so round and big and perfect but when we finally found our spot the sun had disappeared already!
but i was left with these pink rays of light and the stars and the half moon.. wow..i couldn't believe my eyes...( i thought i'd only get to see this from my flickr friends' very inspiring, amazing uploads! heheh)

Everything is going OK, well, except for that little fish that's just been given a toss by this Anhinga. It's amazing to watch these birds maneuver the fish so that when they toss them in the air they go down the gullet head first!

So a friend shared this pose with the precious critter to use her social platforms to bring relief to the wildlife in Australia during the bush fires. That said I think it's pretty simple to understand that I felt moved to do just as she has done.
My challenge to you is if you see this post to please try to help in anyway you can. Hey get creative with it because the more people who see the positive example the more likely they are to get involved for the common cause.
