I have a dozen or so cheap old cameras and was always searching for that magic combination between camera and film.
this sure is a sweet match-up.

Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)
While on a stake out for a locally rare bird, this Great Blue Heron was kind enough to keep me company. He was snoozing on a branch of a dead tree while I walked through his territory for a few hours searching in vain. Occasionally, I'd walk under his branch and he'd look down at me, as if to say, "You really need to get a life."

The last two weeks passed quickly since the release of MMV's TransMontana ( flic.kr/p/2oShMTV ). The weather was so stormy in those days when I visited the lake Balaton. This one hit with a heavy downpourshortly after its arrival, but before that it provided an amazing sight.

Almost two years ago I witnessed fog like this from the 30th floor of my building within Canary Wharf. However on that day I was totally unprepared and most importantly I'd left my camera at home. I've been waiting roughly two years for some fog like this to come along and when it finally did I had to make the most of it!

At the end of our Japan trip I stayed with friends across Ueno Park. Late at night I went to the park for some night shots. The light illuminating the pagoda went out right after I took two bracketed exposures, a lucky coincidence!
I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
