U-M IOE Professor Siqian Shen speaks on a panel. Close to 30 early-career researchers and doctoral students from around the world gathered at U-M IOE for the 2026 Rising Stars Workshop on Friday, Mar. 27, 2026 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

  

Co-organized in partnership with the Georgia Tech H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Stanford University Department of Management Science and Engineering, the one-day workshop brought together emerging scholars to explore academic pathways, build relationships with faculty and peers and engage in conversations about research and career development.
