IC 1274 is an emission nebula in the Sagittarius constellation, around 6000 light years from earth.
The region is essentially an HII region where star formation is running rampant. In plain English, think of it as a large cloud of hydrogen gas where vast amounts of new stars are forming within it. Because there's ample hydrogen present, a good amount of these stars will grow quite massive. Besides being fun to look at (bright blue stars across a colourful region, what's not to like), they also have a profound effect on their surroundings. The long streaks/lines that you can see within the nebula (like elongated clouds if you will) are essentially their doing (effect of their massive energy output).

While commonplace around Chicago for the last 4-5 years, the IC SD70s have been hard to get leading in Michigan, up until about a month and a half ago.It was a mad rush of pairs coming out of Chicago and running back in a pretty constant stream, and they were always different sets. The only challenge of them is that many of them were running at night, which doesn't usually phase me too much, but I was finding myself in spots were it was nerve-wracking if I could get the shot or if time would allow. After missing a bonus L501 with a KCS Belle leader due to another train blocking my light set, things cleared out for the pair I set out for that night on E251, with a light snow falling, the train creeps up behind the stopped L501 waiting to meet an eastbound at Bancroft.
IC 5152 is an irregular galaxy in the Indus constellation, around 6 million light years from earth.
Astronomically speaking, 6 million light years is right next door. Nonetheless, there's more than 100 galaxies within that space. With the exception of M31 and M33, all of them are similar to what you see here (relatively small and irregular in shape).

This is the central part of the nebula IC 4603 surrounding the bright star SAO 184376 which illuminates the blue reflection nebula. IC 4603 can be seen near the very bright star Antares toward the constellation of Ophiuchus. IC4603 is one small part of the Ophiuchus cloud complex. The impressionistic effect is created by large amounts of interstellar dust, minute globs of carbon similar in size to cigarette smoke. This dust frequently occurs in the outer atmospheres of large, cool, evolved stars. Dense dust clouds are opaque to visible light and can completely hide background stars. For less dense clouds, it preferentially reflects blue starlight, effectively marking the surrounding dust boundary. Text borrowed from APOD

218 444 zog an einem Samstag im Juli 2014 den IC "Rottaler Land" (hier noch als RE 27005) durch Anzenkirchen.
Am 28. Januar 2017 war die 1144.213 für den IC 513 nach Graz HBF eingeteilt. Aufgenommen werden konnte die Leistung bei Niedernfritz im Pongau. Im Bildhintergrund das Hochkönig Massiv.

Jahrelang konnten sich Pendler von der Kultlok 103 in den Feierabend bringen lassen. Auch anno 2018 war das noch der Fall, doch aktuell steht die Lok leider mit kaputten Radsätzen abgestellt. Am 12. September bespannte sie den IC 2094 und konnte kurz vor Erreichen des Bf Günzburg aufgenommen werden.
DB 101110 met de IC 2083 Hannover > Augsbug > Oberstdorf in Himmelstadt.
Deze lok bleek namelijk deze week in deze IC verbinding te zitten.
Vanwege werkzaamheden aan de HSL ten noorden van Wurzburg, reed deze IC en alle ICE's via de klassieke lijn via Gemunden.
Das Zugpaar IC 2084/2085 ist einer der letzten Kurswagen in Deutschland. Auch der Stern der altgedienten 218 und der Intercity-Wagen bei DB Fernverkehr sinkt weiter. Ob der Zug im Illertal nochmals einen Frühling erleben wird, bleibt angesichts der beabsichtigten Streichung des Zugpaars fraglich. Am 19. April 2025 zieht die orientrote 218 406 den kurzen Zug durch ein gelbes Blütenmeer, umrahmt von den Allgäuer Alpen.
