The Sally Lightfoot Crab is also known as the Nimble Spray, Short, or Urchin Crab. It has a brown body, with orange to yellow rings on the legs. It actually belongs to a family of shore crabs, however, it is less likely than the other genera to go on land. Its carapace is very flat. which allows it to hide in small crevices within rock work

Cute little fox kits from a past summer. Notice that extra ear...They lived on a golf course near the 18th hole. I was so thirsty that day I needed the 19th hole!

Hello my amazing friends !
I hate Mondays… However, we have to start a new week and Monday seems like a very logical choice. Today we have Mr. Severed Hand with a red band aid on his finger… I will need a red band aid, for sure, to make it through this day. Lets hope it will turn out to be na awesome day ! I Truogoli di Santa Brigida.
Questo è senza dubbio uno degli angoli più suggestivi di Genova. Al centro di una piazza tra Via Balbi e Via Pre si trovano i Truogoli di Santa Brigida, uno dei pochi lavatoi sopravvissuti all'avvento delle lavatrici.
La famiglia Balbi contribuì alla loro costruzione che risale addirittura al 1656, a quel tempo vicino ai lavatoi scorreva il rio di Santa Brigida che alimentava la fontana dei macellari, nella piazza trovava posto anche l'ospedale degli esposti destinato ai bambini abbandonati.
Oggi, i lavatoi, sono perfettamente conservati e l'elegante copertura metallica li rende particolarmente gradevoli

Sir Stamford Raffles Founder of Singapore
This original dark bronze statue was sculpted by renowned English sculptor and poet Thomas Woolner, it was unveiled on Jubilee Day on 27 June 1887.
The status was transferred from Empress Place to the Victoria Memorial Hall ( present location) in 1972 on the 150th anniversary of Singapore's founding.
Trivia buffs will love some of the stories behind the Raffles Statue. For one, it was nicknamed orang besi (“iron man” in Malay) when it was first unveiled.
Another quirky fact is that the statue was relocated from its original site at the Padang to Empress Place in 1919. It was often hit by flying footballs during games, and early Padang spectators liked sitting at its base for a good view.
During the Japanese Occupation, the statue was moved to Syonan Museum (the former Raffles Museum, now National Museum Singapore), and it was widely believed that the Japanese had intended for it to be melted for its bronze. It was reinstalled at Empress Place in 1946.
Today, the statue is a national icon and remains a symbol of modern Singapore.
spend my time in The New Forest. I am so lucky to live in a small town on the edge of the National Park. This means I spend a considerable amount of my time walking through the woods and across the heathland, taking photos of the wildlife which live there. It is not unusual to see the wild horses, donkeys, pigs or cows walking along the roads as they have the freedom to roam the entire area. It is a magical place where I love to be
