Today photo of something different than super- or hypercars. It's time to post some classic cars photos too.

Today is time for Jaguar D-Type. The second D-type to be built by the Jaguar Competitions Dept. OKV 1 was the first of the famous trio of D-types that debuted at Le Mans in 1954.

This was another conservation restoration of a very historic Jaguar, going through the body, mechanics and interior, including the original seats. Every aspect of this car was kept as Jaguar designed and built the car to race at Le Mans.

Until that day I only saw white and black LFA. That day was more colorful as there was yellow and this blue one.

One of only 500 worldwide and as far as I know one of only 40 in Europe (found info somewhere in internet so correct me if I'm wrong).

The production model was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009 and since then it's still look awesome and brand new. Just a price...

Photographed at Blenheim Palace during Salon Prive 2016 - awesome event with tones of super- and hypercars. This was 10th edition but 2nd and definitelly not last for me.

Pagani Zonda Cinque in the snow

After what seemed like the longest 3 years in history, the Porsche 918 finally hit the roads after images of the concept made headlines in 2010. This car was set to be the hypercar to end all hyper cars - full to the brim with clever tech, including a class leading hybrid powertrain, 4-wheel steering and plenty of active aero, this thing made producing and handling ~900bhp look like child's play. It should have utterly dominated the car world; but 2013 was a special year.

Ferrari has just released their magnum opus, the LaFerrari, and McLaren's P1 was set for release just a month after 918. 3 giants of motorsport, putting all the knowledge learnt from their rich histories into 1 feat of engineering and passion. The "Holy Trinity" is one of the most special points of modern car history, 3 incredible cars that couldn't better represent the manufactures that created them.

These cars have a special place in my heart. I was 12 when they were first released, and read all the Top Gear magazine reviews of them for the next year. After fighting restrictions set by the manufactures, TG were finally being allowed to test all 3 at once in 2015. Which also marks a point in time where my interest in cars started to tail off. Yes, I still loved them, but car culture was just so annoying and childish at the time. Any conversation about cars would become a pissing contest to see who knew the most stats, followed by the same 2 jokes about civics and IS THAT A SUPRA - it just killed my interest in the culture. But these 3 cars mark the last time I was truly excited about some new cars. They were so special, the occasion was so special, and to this day they are some of the greatest pieces of machinery money can buy, and some of my favourite cars ever produced.

So why build the 918 specifically? Was it the styling? Did the mass of technology keep my interest in cars alight? Has looking back at it brought back all the memories, all the excitement and wonder, that ultimately drove me to take the University course I'm studying today? Nah, i just had an fun idea for the taillights lol.

Congratulations to the Ferrari Hypercar team and the #51 crew of Antonio Giovinazzi, Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado on their historic win in the hypercar category.

The CCX was the third generation car from Koenigsegg. It was the first Koenigsegg that was truly designed with the latest and greatest tools available... The CCX was designed to comply with global safety and environmental regulations, making it eligible for sale anywhere in the world. This was a great challenge for a small company like Koenigsegg. The performance of the car was staggering, as shown on the famous BBC program, Top Gear, where the CCX took the lap record that lasted for years. The record-breaking CCX was developed to deliver superior performance – both on the track and on the road...

My favorite shots from a great afternoon spotting with Marcinek_55

Three hypercars, and this one is my favourite. I've seen the P1 and this 918, and am short of the LaFerrari. But... I think that this is the one for me.
