My 3rd attempt at well light interior automotive photography. The light seems too sharp everywhere, I need to see how to better diffuse it. The vents are crooked too (grrr) and I should have taken an exposure with the left body panel flashed to capture the mirror reflection.

Strobist info:

-dash light by 8'x5' diffuser in front of the car, Vivitar 285hv 1/2

-Vivitar 285hv 1/4 camera right through 48" disc diffuser

-Vivitar 285hv 1/4 through 48" disc diffuser in driver window

-Vivitar 285hv 1/4 through 48" disc diffuser in driver side door frame

-Vivitar 285hv 1/4 undiffused through sunroof glass

-Vivitar 285hv 1/4 through 48" disc diffuser in the back seat area fired forwards

(All those were different exposures, I only have 1 flash)

Small shoot of my MINI Cooper S for July's photo competition on North American Motoring with the theme of Summer.

I shot this at 85mm for a more compressed and natural look, properly showing the depth of the scene and size of the mountains. My D90 was set up back on a tripod at f/14 while I messed with my flash by the car, and triggered the camera via IR remote.

Strobist info:

Vivitar 285hv at full power, CTO gel and bare bulb, just right of the frame for warm balancing light opposite of the sun.

My MINI in HDR just because I need to justify getting the software.

Here's the first real shot of my new car. I absolutely love the color!
