When you think of the millions of dollars that are now spent on political campaigns, it's hard to imagine this small building was Jimmy Carter's presidential campaign headquarters.
Believe it or, not, when I tell her that she’s beautiful, she always answers, “Well, I look O. K., but I’m not beautiful”. She’s truly humble and she stays that way !! When I took this shot, I told her to melt the lens. This was the look she gave me. Then, she asked if that was O.K. Yes, I told her, that was O.K.

This past weekend I had the good fortune to visit San Diego again for business and was able to connect with my dear friend, Beachscooter, who drove down from LA. We made the most of the time we had and took in the sights~ Balboa Park, La Jolla, San Diego Safari Park, and Temecula Wine Country.
The San Diego Safari Park was amazing. The conservation effort there is first and foremost and they obviously are huge advocates for the animals. We were completely in awe.

This is the Fragrant Isle pavilion in the Humble Administrator's Garden which according to my tour guide was designed to look like a boat.
The Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the prized gardens in Suzhou (it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and was originally completed in 1526 and took 16 years to build. In ancient times, prominent Chinese men would retire and build huge gardens as a symbol of their wealth and taste. This garden was originally commissioned by Wang Xiancheng and was designed by Wen Zhengming.

This is one of a set of photos that I took back in September of 2018, The photo was taken at the aptly named Turtle Pond in Jesse H. Jone Park and Nature Center, near Humble TX. Photos were taken using a Canon EOS 80D camera with a EF-S 18-135 mm lens, with additional editing in post-processing. Enjoy!

It may only be a shrub, but our forests here would be incomplete, and so much less vibrant, if not for the humble huckleberry.
I continue to enjoy the wildlife in my yard this season. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it in the past but I think I spent more time searching for some of the creatures with which I am less accustomed. This morning, the bumble bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies all seem to be making good use of the flower gardens. It’s wonderful to see them savoring the flowers in bloom. It’s even more thrilling to see them in a new perspective. Bumble bees are not aggressive. Males can’t even sting. Females are capable of stinging repeatedly, however, they truly have to be provoked. In short, the humble bumble is an important pollinator deserving of our tolerance. Like most honey bees, their numbers have fallen considerably and one genus (the rusty patched bumble bee) has even been listed as endangered.
Truly honoured and very humbled to be on the cover of such amazing groups. Thank you so much ♥
