Here the stone carver artfully substitutes 'departed' for the word 'died' but then goes on to tell us that poor Jacob was "Killed by a fall from a building." The verse reads:
Let this vain world ingage nomore (sic)
Behold the gaping tomb
It bids us seize the present hour
Tomorrow death may come.
Hardly inspirational, about as bleak as it gets really. I worked this stone from several angles to capture its darkness.
When LCD Monitors still didn't exist as in Cuba where children could obtain the same effect with human (one person=1 pixel?) flags

Horses are hard to photograph. I generally don't take pictures of places, things, or animals if I can help it, but just before I took this shot of Billie I was trying to figure out how to shoot her riding her horse. You can't really plan for that, especially if it's been well over a decade since you've been next to a horse. Those things are huge!
Billie says I did ok, and I like most of the photos I took, but if you had me choose one thing to photograph for the rest of my life it's always going to be people. Just Polaroids and human expressions for me until my cameras don't work anymore.

Almost and After Dark:
A few weeks ago, Julie and I went to Totally80s on a 'dress for the 80s' evening. She suggested we go as the two girls from the Human League. We were so pleased with our looks that she asked me to cobble together an 80s album cover too, so I made this from my favourite of our shots. It's not really based on anything. We just like the look of 80s albums.

Thanks to the parents that gave me the nod to get this image of their son.
From time to time in every city they pop up: The human statues. Silent, not moving, but often beautiful prepared people. Like these two. Sitting in an old automobile. As if you're not there. But sometimes they peek....

That was the best speaker I've ever heard at the Corona Protests. Ready for print and spoken freely without manuscript. Logical, factual and dedicated. His main criticism was of the planned new vaccines that would intervene in the genetic structure of humans. He sees a great danger for human evolution. I talked to him later, but I have yet to process this and it would also go too far here.

I thought it might be nice to include a human element with René Magritte’s 1967 bronze «La Folie des Grandeurs» at the Getty Center, and the young photographer happened to be sitting there, pondering the transience of all things, or just preoccupied with her camera...
