Feijão Borboleta/ Blue butterfly pea flower, is a plant belonging to the bean and pea family. Originally from regions of Tropical Asia, but currently it can be found in several regions of South and Central America, India, China and Southeast Asia.
A striking feature of butterfly bean flowers is their color, an intense blue that makes the flower very striking, but in some cultivars, the flower can be completely white.
It is a perennial vine and can be grown in small pots as an ornamental plant, developing quickly and flowering most of the time of its life.
In folk medicine, butterfly beans have been used to treat throat and eye infections, fever, indigestion, baldness, stress, strengthening memory, among other applications. Rich in phytochemicals, the infusion of flowers is hepatoprotective and antidiabetic and the juice is used in Ayurvedic medicine to cure insect bites and skin diseases.
In the kitchen, the plant also has numerous applications, the leaves, pods and flowers being the parts used in the butterfly bean. However, the flower is the most used part, being used in the preparation of various blue foods, such as refreshments, teas, soups, ice cream, rice, among others.

Situada en el centro del país, la ciudad de Hue, antiguamente conocida como Thah Hoa que significa paz, fue la última capital imperial de Vietnam. Asentada sobre el rio Perfume, atesora gran cantidad de monumentos, palacios y templos así como una rica gastronomía, famosa en todo el país.
Located in the center of the country, the city of Hue, formerly known as Thah Hoa which means peace, was the last imperial capital of Vietnam. Located on the Perfume River, it treasures a large number of monuments, palaces and temples as well as a rich gastronomy, famous throughout the country.
Situada al centre del país, la ciutat de Hue, antigament coneguda com a Thah Hoa que significa pau, va ser l'última capital imperial del Vietnam. Assentada sobre el riu Perfum, atresora gran quantitat de monuments, palaus i temples així com una rica gastronomia, famosa a tot el país.
Het werk van een groot kunstenaar verdient een monumentaal thuis. Vandaar dat Hans en Monique Melchers, initiatiefnemers van Museum MORE, hun Carel Willink-collectie hebben ondergebracht in Kasteel Ruurlo.
Een Kasteel spreekt altijd tot de verbeelding: het is een tastbaar bewijs voor de robuustheid van de tijd. Kunstverzamelaar Hans Melchers (1938) raakte al jong in de ban van Kasteel Ruurlo waar hij als kind al kwam. In 2013 kon hij een jongensdroom verwezenlijken door dit Kasteel te verwerven en in oude glorie te herstellen. Zijn doel: een plek creëren waar zijn collectie werken van Carel Willink (1900-1983) tot haar recht komt.
There was a lightning bolt right in the middle of the cloud above but just missed it by a fraction (several times) reactions too slow I guess , but liked the result anyway !
