Water of love - Dire Straits.......:-)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uzq_-xsnpc

The ministry of time

Chapter II: The Mystery of the Incubators

The style card and credits here

Sam found himself alone in the laboratory, the dim lights flickering intermittently over the equipment. A bottle of beer was within his reach as he immersed himself in his thoughts. Recently, an unusual event had shaken his scientific world: the disappearance of a body from the incubators. This act not only defied the laws but also raised serious questions about the integrity of the timeline.

As the golden liquid flowed down his throat, Sam pondered the possible devastating consequences that this incident could unleash. What effect would it have on historical evolution? How would it alter temporal continuity? These questions haunted him, filling his mind with unease and concern.

An even more alarming idea seized his thoughts: Who could have orchestrated this act and for what purpose? Time travel technology was heavily regulated, its illegal use a serious offense. Only a few would have access to it, and none of them would have noble motives to carry out such an action.

As Sam delved into his reflections, a determination grew within him: he must uncover the truth behind this enigma. Not only for the sake of the scientific community and temporal stability but also for his insatiable thirst for knowledge. With determination in his gaze, he promised himself that he would not rest until he found answers and ensured that temporal integrity remained intact.

Excerpt from www.teamlab.art/ew/resonating_microcosms_mossgarden_plane...:

Moss Garden of Resonating Microcosms - Solidified Light Color, Dusk to Dawn

Ovoids that change appearance with the sunrise and sunset are laid out in the moss garden.

With sunrise, the ovoids begin to reflect the world around them. When pushed down by a person or blown by the wind, the ovoid falls back and then rises, releasing a resonating tone. The ovoids around it also respond one after another, continuing to resonate with the same tone.

As the sun sets, the ovoids shine by themselves. When an ovoid is pushed by a person or blown by the wind, it shines brightly and emits a sound tone, as it rights itself. The ovoids around it also respond one after another, emitting the same light color and sound tone that continues to resonate out.

The space of the work is interactively transformed under the influence of the wind, rain, and the behavior of the people in the space, making the environment and the people a part of the work. When the wind is quiet and people are still, the ovoids begin to flicker slowly.

teamLab is experimenting with the concept of color. The ovoids can change into a total of 61 newly-defined Solidified Light Colors.

It is said that mosses were the first terrestrial organisms to appear in a world of rocks and sand, where there was no life on land yet. As mosses and ferns appeared and forests were created, a variety of animals became able to live on land.

Since water inside cells is essential for living things, if the body lacks water, it will die. Mosses, on the other hand, are poikilohydric, meaning the water content in the cells change according to surrounding humidity levels. So moss will not die during long dry periods, and they come back to life when given water. Because mosses are poikilohydric, their color and shape change dramatically when the air is dry versus when it is wet, such as when there is rain or fog.

Tardigrades, which live in moss, also go into a non-metabolic state of dormancy when the surrounding environment becomes dry, but they revive and become active when there is water. The state that tardigrades enter, when they are neither living nor dead, is called cryptobiosis. This may cause us to consider what it means to be alive.

See '1920's, Veere, girls in local costume' On Black!

The local costume, as it was worn 'for real' by, in this case, the young girls in the family. Note that the three older ones already wear the wide 'young woman's cap and that the smallest child on the right still wears a little girl's cap. This was also the time that it was normal for rural Dutch people to walk around on clogs...

The picture was taken by my grandfather . The girls are the daughters of farmer Joosse, a neighbor, and were playmates of my mother's, especially the youngest girl on the right, Jane, who was more or less her age. She is alive today and more than 90 years old! In the background is the house , on the dike outside Veere where my mother grew up.

If you are interested in these and other costumes from Zeeland, you might want to check this site out. By clicking on the map you will see the different costumes from the different areas. Accompanying text unfortunately in Dutch only!

Today feels good - this is the first photo I've done in quite a while which required a lot of work. Truth be told I've been very slack and lazy the last two weeks, not really trying anything out of my comfort zone. So it feels good to do a "hard" photo again.

The Baztan valley is a land of noblemen, indianos who returned after making their fortunes in the Americas, smugglers, shepherds and pilgrims who travelled to Santiago along the alternative route that crosses the valley.

Baztan is an evergreen valley with an Atlantic climate and is also the largest municipality in Navarre, covering 374 square kilometres, 15 towns/villages and dozens of caseríos (farmhouses) that dot a landscape of cultivated fields, woods, and meadows in which livestock graze.

There are several medieval palaces and noble houses in the valley, all of them well kept and of great beauty.

The visitor to Arrraioz is met by the haughty figure of the Palace of Jauregizar, a tower of medieval origin with a wooden platform at the top. The road to Ziga leads up to the belvedere of the Baztan, which offers excellent views over the area.

The commercial and administrative centre of Baztan is Elizondo, with its noble houses, palaces and monumental and religious buildings. Baztan has interesting museums such as the ethnographic museum dedicated to Jorge Oteiza (Elizondo) or the Santxotena sculpture museum (Arizkun). It also has delightful spots such as the Xorroxin waterfall (Erratzu), the dolmens of Izpegi and the megaliths of Erratzu-Aldudes.

On the way to the border with France, a road at the top of the Otsondo pass leads to Urdazubi/Urdax, where you can see a mill, a monastery and the spectacular caves of Ikaburu. A guided tour reveals beautiful formations of stalactites and stalagmites and the flowing waters of the Urtxuma, a stream that runs through the caves.

Caves of Urdazubi/Urdax are linked by road or a signposted path to those of Zugarramurdi, which history and legend have always associated with witchcraft.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
