166th Regional Support Group (RSG) hosted the first 166th RSG Physical Fitness Challenge on the Maxi Field at Fort Buchanan on July 27th, 2011. This was not a regular physical training, this was an event organized to build team cohesion and at the same time, have some fun.
Soldiers were divided by teams, and to win the event, the first team to complete 100 repetitions of a series of exercises (the regular push ups, the buddy assisted sit ups, the eight count push ups with a jump, the “Y” squat, and the rower) and run/walk one lap around the field. Will claim victory.
Master Sgt. Daniel Lai from the 166th RSG was the NCOIC for the event

Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch., Commander, Installation Management Command, will host a flag uncasing ceremony for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Oct. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Joseph W. Westphal, Under Secretary of the United States Army, will be the guest speaker.
The ceremony represents the presence of the installation management community and the assumption of the command's authority in San Antonio. The installation management community includes the U.S. Army Installation Management Command Headquarters and two major subordinate commands: U.S. Army Environmental Command and the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command.
IMCOM temporarily occupies leased space in northeastern San Antonio until the new IMCOM Headquarters Building on Fort Sam Houston is completed in October 2011.
Uncasing the flag exemplifies how IMCOM, headquartered in "Military City USA," is transforming to make Army installations the Army's Home.

Quilter in the Gap is hosting a 2012 Finish-A-Long, in which you post a list every quarter of the UFO's you are aiming to complete. At the end of the quarter you post again as to whether or not you suceeded. If so, for every completed project that was listed, you get an entry to win prizes!!
So, from Jan to March I officially aim to complete:
1. Another bag like the one in the photo which has been sitting on my desk for a few months now. It is a gift for someone, and I have all of the fabric, I just need to get motivated and complete it.
2. The 'Poppy Delight' is a kit that I received at least 2 years ago (probably three) from a friend who bought it in New Zealand. I started putting it together, but the majority is still untouched. I hope to get the top done.
3. The black and white 9-patches are from a swap I participated in at the beginning of last year. Not a very long UFO however I ended up with 100 blocks which I have been dragging my feet about putting together. I did it with my sewing group and we have a deadline of Easter to put the tops together so it is one of my more urget UFO's.
4. I also have a yellow brick road quilt (not pictured - havent taken one yet) that was my third quilt EVER and I started that around 4 years ago. I had sewn all of the blocks together all those years ago, but had only recently sewn the blocks together and attached the borders. My goal for this one is to get it quilted and bound so I can actually use it!
5. Last but not least, I have a pinwheels quilt (also not pictured) started when the previous William Morris range came out a year or two ago. It is still in it's block form with around another 20ish pinwheels still to be sewn. I hope to get the top completed but am not yet ready to consider quilting and binding.
So that is it for my first quarted goals. Here's hoping I get some if not all of them done so I can finally complete some of those pesky UFOS!!!
