I haven't been to High Beeches since that soggy morning last month when I watched the heavy horses harrowing the wild flower meadow. The autumn colours are just beginning to come through and in a couple of weeks the garden will look spectacular. Flowers are in much shorter supply at this time of year, so bees are having to work harder to find pollen. It was lovely to see the Scabious at High Beeches, which was playing host to numerous bees and hoverflies.
One of the most colorful time of the year. Autumn-Höst in Mårdsjön, Jämtland Sweden.
Forest and views, lingonberries and bliss.

We went out to dinner with my parents to a fabulous, old school steakhouse. It's a "meat and Manhattans" kind of place: a relic from decades ago...and I loved it.
At the host's station, I saw this scene with this painting over a couch. I didn't have one of my regular cameras, but I did have my phone...and now I have this photo.
Title is so true. Some more bitching about hosting... Blogged. Etc. strawberrysurprise.wordpress.com/2011/08/04/attention-whore/
