Lego Homework #12 - build a boat. This week the task was to build a boat so i built a small lego tendor complete with a pier. build by david coxon
We are doing more studio shooting in my lighting class tonight. We had to find studio shots to replicate (lighting)--had to be at least 2 light, but less than 5. I think I figured mine out, so I am kind of excited to shoot my shots tonight.
Not all homework is done on a laptop in bed - (I have downloaded a 30 days trial version of Photoshop Elements and this vault photo is from a test of the program... )

not too common to find the kitchen table all to yourself - it is usually covered with tons of kids, snacks, homework and chaos. She had been home with an ear infection and had some makeup work to catch up on and did it as usual without being asked. I'm trying to remember the simple things that make me happy.
Used some radial graph paper to create these pie charts which each reflect my progress toward completion of a given class this semester. Keeps me motivated and on task.
AHOC is a little pun, you might get it if you are in the computing / IT fields.

While exploring the tiny alleyways that make up Cusco one afternoon I came across this little food stall where a Peruvian mother was helping her son complete his homework. I find this picture moving as it portrays an often neglected image of South American education. Here is a young boy and his mother working hard towards his education, the future of Peru.

Mankind used to sit by the warmth of the fire in each other's company. Kids would sit with their slates or wax boards, doing their three Rs.
Nowadays, we dont relax, we work all day long, in the glow of our laptop screens. The kids do homework on the same laptops. Heat comes from the radiator under the table, smaller kids in distance playing in living room. Fire is hidden away in the basement.
The homestead animals are outside, chickens, goats, llama.
Working on a short paper tonight. Did the prep work last night. Just putting it together, making it coherent and flow well. I gotta problem with flow in my papers.
