I will have to learn simplifying...

Trying out some table top shots :-)

I had such plans. And then Christmas snuck up on me. I might was well tell you the dog ate my homework.

Anyway, it isn’t Christmas until I make a new photograph of my son’s 1st Christmas Tree. And then I never found the time for the FlickrFriday theme (Frosty) but I still had the idea and then I got a Nanlight for Christmas. If the tree wasn’t of such a precious nature I could commercialize this like I was a pro instead of a dedicated amateur.

Antique glass from some forgotten thrift store.

Nanlight (it really is pretty cool and it beats the Maglight I used to use.)

Trusty table from Southeast Salvage

Glenmorangie Scotch

Christmas Tree from some kind-hearted volunteers at a children’s hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Guess which one is actually valuable to me.

Merry Christmas y’all.

During confinement! my new home office. I have all the equipment to support, even for telecoms!

My instructor gave the class a collection of Boris Vallejo prints for us to do

a pencil rendering of his work. I chose this one. What's your take?

Another scene from my daily life :)

I hope you're not missing my flowers and Paris shots too much, because I am really enjoying capturing 'normal' ordinary moments right now. Maybe it's a phase (I hope not though - I think I will be so happy with these kind of shots later).

Loved this quote!! So fitting for how I feel at the moment!

Photo shot and edited for Homework #10 macro...this is a page from a novel I am rereading for something like the fifth time. I read a novel every two or three days. So I read them several times. The text is from "For the Sake of Elena" by Elizabeth George. I just thought since it was a murder mystery, why not make it an exhibit for the trial.

I never did my homework on how to capture a total eclipse. I was forced to do this and not prepared. I used a simple 120mm set up and nd filter. I cropped the heck out of it in lightroom and here it is. This is moments before the clouds were rolling in.

The wonderful thing about sometimes working from home is that the office dress code is my choice. It is really easy to simply slip into a dress, put on some makeup to look smart and I'm ready for the day.

Of course I also need to keep in practice for my girly weekend coming soon. I hope my homework gets full marks.

*oops*

I seem to be so determined to learn to knit socks on DPN's that I went a little mad with my homework! Hahahahahaa!

I can't wait to go to my next lesson tomorrow.
