From New York magazine, the kitchen of a Williamsburg dancehall-turned-loft. The numbered notes are as follows:
1. The Vulcan stove came from the Bowery and was about $1,200. “It was so much cheaper to buy old industrial stuff than a brand-new stove,” says Rossini.
2. The kitchen island and dining table were salvaged from the Old Dutch Mustard building. They were stripped and refinished.
3. The stainless- steel shelving was custom-made and cost about $700.

The project was implemented by architect Irina Mayetnaya and Mikhail Golub. The 1,000 square feet apartment is located in Kiev, Ukraine. The apartment layout planning was limited by all windows facing one side of the building. The goal was to create a modern and functional apartment for the young family with children. This is my kitchen in my 100 year old bungalow. It's all IKEA. In the corner was our first "renovation" (paint and new floor tiles). It was cute, quaint kitchen, and I cried during demolition, but I love it so much more, now. I was lucky enough to have it shot for a magazine. If only it looked like this every day!'
