The Royal Arcade is a historic shopping arcade in the central business district of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1870,
it connects Bourke Street Mall to Little Collins Street, with a side offshoot to Elizabeth Street. It is the oldest surviving arcade in Australia, known for its elegant light-filled interior, and the large carved mythic figures of Gog and Magog flanking the southern entry.
A vibrant and energetic piece of abstract art - the four 'sprites' created on four layers then combined and processed to form the final colourful image. Colourful artwork which is now available as high quality wall-art at my Pixels digital gallery at tinyurl.com/5n8bufax

City Heat — capturing the intense reds, vibrant yellows, and layered urban textures that evoke the feeling of a city radiating energy under summer pressure, with structural forms and elements of a city park peeking through the abstraction.

LAVA LAMP - A colourful multi-layered artwork. Red shards overpainted layers of yellow, green and blue. You can almost see the movement and changing of the colours if you squint your eyes. A bright and zesty addition to any wall-space in office or home.

Aarhus - Mollestien
.
---
In the middle of our sixth day in Denmark we stopped in Aarhus, the second largest city in the country, which we liked mainly for the incredible botanical garden with exotic, succulent and rainforest plants. We didn't like the rest of the city that much (perhaps the one we liked least), despite the good reviews from the tour guide.
Mollestien is a typical alley, with brightly colored houses and climbing roses adorning the entrance doors. Through a window, a cat in full relaxation.
The Bell Memorial (also known as the Bell Monument or Telephone Monument) is a memorial designed by Walter Seymour Allward to commemorate the invention of the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell at the Bell Homestead National Historic Site, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
In 1906, the citizens of the Brantford and Brant County areas formed the Bell Telephone Memorial Association, which commissioned the memorial. By 1908, the association's designs committee asked sculptors on two continents to submit proposals for the memorial. The submission by Canadian sculptor Walter Seymour Allward of Toronto won the competition. The memorial was originally scheduled for completion by 1912 but Allward, aided by his studio assistant Emanuel Hahn did not finish it until five years later. The Governor General of Canada, Victor Cavendish, 9th Duke of Devonshire, unveiled the memorial on 24 October 1917.
