I'm using this to receive Home Easy remote controls and X10 remotes and PIRs and retransmit the signals using the Tiny328's RFM12B radio. It is then received on another Tiny328 connected via USB to my server and from there into Node-RED as part of my home automation system.

Here's some of the magic that helps make my home automation automated.
Clockwise from top left:
a) HDMI over Cat5E receiver to get High Definition video from the main equipment rack.
b) RGHBV distribution amplifier: I'm sending both component video and RGBHV (PC) video over the same wires, but the TV needs to have the video split to different inputs
c) Crestron C2N-VEQ4: Does a tiny bit of audio processing and the volume control for the master bedroom
d) Current Sensor for the TV: Provides positive confirmation that the TV is on or off.

After several weeks of wire installation, the second phase of this project is installing the system central racks. This picture shows a custom enclosure constructed by WesternAV which encompasses (3) 81" electronics racks. The cables shown include: purple shielded CAT-6 Video Cable [Hi-Speed Cabling Available] and yellow and blue CAT-5E Data and Telephone cabling. Also included are the white and green cables, which are part of the Western Audio-Video proprietary full-spectrum speaker cabling that is being used on this project.
