But I guess I'm already there

I come home, she lifted up her wings

Guess that this must be the place

I can't tell one from another..."

Finally home! not that my summer so far has been boring (the last 2 months involved quite a bit of traveling), however there is no place like home. I took this one at the port of Aigina island in Greece, and I will say that it was a very challenging shot. I had with me only my small tripod, so I was pretty much layed on the ground and my camera wouldn't focus so I had to switch it to manual focus and tried to do it via the screen and not through the viewfinder. It was a lovely night, the blue hour more specifically, and the waterfront promenade at Aigina's port was quite busy. After the last ferry of the day departs from the island, they shut down the main street to pedestrians only so it's really nice for families to walk without being worried about traffic.

Hello my amazing friends !

Home sweet home… Once again, this weekend, we did some work on our house. We are all still sick so nothing major was done but each time we are closer and closer to the finish line. This project clearly showed us that home is where the heart is. I know for a fact that without my husband, sons and our parents this project would never be possible. So no matter where this house will end up, it will always be my home as long as I’m with my family. And just for your information: our Christmas tree is up and shining bright like a diamond (I know it is late but it is still in time for Christmas...).

Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well.

The Former Convalescent Home of Saint Paul is a manificent civic building of the XVII century built for the convalescence of the sick at the neighboring Hospital de la Sant Creu (Hospital of the Saint Cross).

Even though the first stone was laid by the bishop Sentís on 26 March 1629, more than fifty years passed until the building was inaugurated, on 25 January 1680.

The Convalescent Home represented a significant improvement in convalescent care.

The figure of Saint Paul (1687) and the four gargoyles at the corner of the Cloister (1677-1679) are works of the baroque sculptor Lluis Bonifac

Found this little treasure parked off to ther side of a park. Has to be a great place to escape to, right on a lake and surrounded by many beautiful trees.

A quick landscape shot from Barassie Beach, Troon, Scotland.

An imperfect handheld shot, with some blown out highlights and a shallower depth of field than I would really like. I haven't picked up my camera in months, I am ashamed to admit, not at least with the intention of photographing something specific - and I am far from being a landscape photographer!

I can't believe that I now live just 1 mile from this view! A sea view being well outside of my price bracket but just 1 mile is close enough to call this home.

The sun was on it's way to setting with some gorgeous crepuscular rays over the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran and the majestic outline of Goatfell. Off to the right was a storm cell and some huge downpour rainbands which I have captured in some other shots to come in the future. It was hard to believe that the two scenes were in the same place - it looked apocalyptic to the right of frame!

I put my back out again crouching for this shot but it has been in a bad way since moving day. More physiotherapy required but despite that and the imperfections in my shot, it feels like a lovely view of my new place in this beautiful world of ours. Enjoy.

Creating some much needed home decorations!
