February 3, 2020 Monday Macro Group Theme is "The Odd One". Rather interesting challenge this week ....but an easy one for me....
If you haven't tried The Macro Monday Challenge....suggest you do so. Such interesting photographic entries/results.
Ole Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow today.......
Spring is sure springin' here down in the South.
Flips Flops and shorts were on on order for this Super Bowl Sunday.
Thank Y'all for stoppin' by for a visit.....
Have a great new week ahead my friends.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" MM theme. Looking down the barrel of a snubnose .38 special revolver. All about the situation and intent I suppose. Weapon held in a vice before a black felt background. Less than 2 1/2 inches. Provocative by intent.
I was looking through my old Air Force pictures and it gave me the idea to take some sort of formation picture. After looking around the house these were best objects that I had enough of to line up. Not until the first few shots (no pun intended) did I realize how the shadows would come into play. After I saw that I spent about 30 minuets trying to get them lined up just right.

Macro Monday- Crime
My take on the theme is how do you defend yourself from a crime, rather than committing one.
Now, please don't get all upset, this is not glorifying murder or guns, etc. It's just a play on words...
Just imagine a murder mystery on T.V., it ain't nothin' but a thang!
😋
It looks MUCH better if viewed at full-size.
Yes, another remake- i enjoy them immensely, and you guys have done some awesome things!

This is the FROST Iron Wolf, cousin of Archkyrie's Arctic Fox SMG. Designed by the highly secretive and lethally efficient FROST Corporation, this weapon is rumored to have played a defining role in several of the elite FROST mercenaries' shadowy industrial espionage operations.
Designed to fire outdated 9MM hollowpoints, this specialized weapon deliberately mimics the post-operation footprint of an HK MP5 -- from the type of shells, to the rifling grooves on fired slugs -- to help FROST Corp stay out of the spotlights of law enforcement and the media. One of FROST's many, many ingenious top-secret elements.
First "cyberpunk" attempt. With the whole standard ammo thing though, I'm probably doing it wrong lol
.22 high velocity hollowpoint versus an apple.
Will have to try it again and frame it better, maybe get it from a different angle as well. Hey, its a process!
This one MUST be viewed in full size!
A .22 LR hollowpoint bullet flies through a banana.
Perhaps a little over processed (as always the shadows look better on a CRT), but I really did want to squeeze out every last bit of detail (no pun intended!)
Update: I decided to check my math and I was wrong. Assuming 1200ft/sec average speed (probably faster at first but the bullet will slow through the fruit) this is 0.0144 inches per microsecond or 69.5 microseconds per inch. Round to 70 microseconds per inch. Bananas are, what, 8 inches long (this was a long one!) so 70*8 = 560 microseconds.
Firing 9mm hollowpoint rounds from a 64 round helical magazine, the Sweetwater Bizon submachine gun implements many elements from the SPW AK47. With the familiar ergonomics and reliability of a Kalashnikov assault rifle, the SPW Bizon offers Russian special forces an easy transition to an MP5-type CQC weapon when necessary.
An RIS rail with integrated rear iron sight has been mounted on the top of the gun, low enough for the stock front sight to still be used. An ergonomic pistol grip takes the place of the AK stock grip, and rubberized grip texture has been added to the magazine for comfort and control under stress. The standard folding stock has been replaced with the Sweetwater AK47 side-folding adjustable unit with an independently adjustable cheekrest. A Sweetwater Kobra RD is secured to the optics rail.
Credit to KevinTK for the sight. SECOND UPLOAD OF THIS GUN, fixed a couple layering problems :P sorry for any confusion!
This is not so much for the revolver, but rather the camera I took it with. I was REALLY surprised at how well the Nikon P900 did, it doesn't do that well on wildlife.
Although I would say that this is not the best photograph to show how well that camera does, I will be taking more photographs and pushing it to see what it is capable of.
(Please look at it at its full size to see the image a lot better)
I have had it for a few years, and to be honest, for birds, I didn't care for it, the images were all a mess.
Anyway, I was shocked to see what it has already done, I'm happy with my NEW camera!
S.H.I.E.L.D. CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT Level 7
STRIKE Rapid Response Team Foxtrot- Operation Hyperdrive After-Action Report
Agents Assigned:
Major Joseph Hauer: Level 8
Alec Dalton (Codename: Dauntless): Level 7
Joseph Chapman: Level 7
Objective
Capture Businessman Ian Quinn in his hotel room in London, England.
File
Hauer: Alright boys, we’ve gotten intel on Ian Quinn’s whereabouts. As you probably don’t know, an attempt Director Fury’s life was made about a week ago by some cyborg. Before the cyborg was revealed to be a “Trojan Horse” our agents were able to identify where some of its components were from. Not surprisingly, the ever-so-sly Mr. Ian Quinn supplied a decent portion of the would-be assassin’s cybernetics. Combine that with the dozen other cases of weapon smuggling Quinn is a suspect in, and we have ourselves what is called “Probable Cause”. In room 2-13 of this hotel, Mr. Quinn is hiding out. Let’s go bring him in.
Dauntless: Amen to that, sir.
Chapman: Amen.
Dauntless: Alright, then. Let’s get this bastard. All these damn projects to recreate Super-Soldiers, they’re gonna blow up in our faces one day. Genetic engineering, cybernetic implants, whatever it is, it’s gonna come back and bite us. One less idiot trying to re-create Captain America is nothing but a good thing. My team and I hop out the van, armed, rigged, and all, must have been quite the sight. Guns aren’t exactly a common thing in the UK. Hell, most cops don’t even carry them, and are stuck with those toys the call tasers. We enter in the Hotel, and Hauer flashes the receptionist his badge. That poor lady just about had a heart attack, let me tell you. We advance up the stairs, and make our way to the room. Some guy opened up his door to leave, saw us, and ran back in and tried to slam the door. Chapman caught it, and closed it slowly. Good thing, we don’t want Quinn to try and escape because of commotion. We form up on room 2-13, preparing to breach, but Hauer notices something is off.
Hauer: Before we breach the door, I see a bit of wear on the door, as if it’s already been breached. I slowly push it open, and pull out my sidearm. We walk into the room, and see the windows all boarded up. Then, I hear a faint noise in the other “room”.
Unknown: help me… please…
Chapman: What the heck is that? Someone got here first, it seems. We follow Hauer into the other room, and see a man in a suit with a red head, wait, damn, that’s blood! He’s been shot in the bloody head! There’s a kid lying on the ground with blood around him, barely able to speak.
Hauer: Chapman, help the kid! Dauntless, check and see if that’s Quinn! What the hell happened here?
Kid: Th…there was a man, in a black mask and a green jacket. He, he came in the room, fired right into Mr. Quinn’s head! Th.. then he shot at me. I tried to shoot back, but my gun did nothing to him. He, he grabbed me, threw me to the ground, and stabbed me.... then I… I blacked out…
Hauer: The hell is this? There are spent rounds on the floor, just crumpled up, crushed. .45 ACP, hollowpoint by the looks of it. The kid’s rifle is a standard 5.56, and the gun in “Red Skull’s” hand is a 9mm, so it must be from the attacker. The round could have done that kind of damage to Quinn’s head, too.
Hauer: What’s your name, kid?
Kid: Andrew, Andrew Black.
Hauer: You worked for Quinn?
Black: Yes, I was his, bodyguard.
Hauer: Why did the guy in the mask stab you? He must have been really close, why didn’t he just shoot you? I can’t see why he would have missed at this range.
Black: I, I don’t know. H just, must have missed.
Hauer: But he did shoot at you?
Black: Yes, he did… who are you guys?
Hauer: Quinn’s bodyguard, huh? Knowing Quinn, there’s more to this kid than he’s letting on. Wait, no, that couldn’t be it.
Hauer: S.H.I.E.L.D. Stop trying to change the subject. You worked for Quinn, yes? Then you know what he did. You know the business he was in. That’s why we are here.
Black: Yes, I, I know. He, he was a bad man. Cruel, crazy. He, he did things to me. *Sniff* He made me a weapon. Forced me to work for him.
Hauer: He wouldn’t have had someone he didn’t trust protect him. You’re lying.
Black: But, he did, he did trust me.
Hauer: Why? Why would he trust you?
Black: Because if I didn’t do what he told me to, he would have my family killed.
End File
Outcome
Ian Quinn was found DOA. Foxtrot withdrew with Quinn’s bodyguard, and took him to a facility for questioning.

OOH! Plot thickens! Yea! Hope you all enjoyed this issue, I sure enjoyed making it! Thanks for viewing!
Experimenting with different techniques for lighting & composition of small, still-life arrangements. This slightly menacting composition shows the "business" end of the weapon (a SIG Sauer P220 45 ACP semiautomatic handgun) and four rounds - these are jacketed hollow-point rounds made by Federal. They feature a solid lead core that is jacketed in copper. Upon impact, the lead core expands and folds back on itself to increase the cross section and enhance the transfer of kinetic energy to the target.
Beretta 96fs (.40 S&W), cocked. I have over put over 7000 rounds of cheap ammo through this and not one malfunction.

I was afraid that I wouldn't get the chance to shoot this little girl in the head due to the complete loss of the 500 watt powersupply. Luckily I was able to dig up an old 200 watt unit that seemed to do the job!
After Kalon assumed the rule of co-US leader with his female counterpart they slowly took over the rest of the world using hitmen and terrorist cells to stimulate conflict and bring the rest of the world together in crisis. After months of rule, Kalon returns from a campaign in Africa to meet back with his co-leader. This was the fatal mistake that lead to his ultimate downfall. She pulled out a pistol and carefully put two in his throat. His reaction time was not fast enough to stop the rounds. He died of suffocation minutes later. He was only alive long enough to see his men turn their allegiance to the woman he once trusted.
//Roger that Alpha 1, we are ready to proceed with phase two, over.
//Alpha two you have permission to proceed, secure POIs 2 and 3 and rendezvous at rally point 2 for further instruction, over.
//Copy that Alpha one, over.
After discussing with Kalon his plans of world domination I told him that his plans for ruling as co-consul would backfire and his trusted co-ruler would eventually shoot him in the throat without a second thought.
Also Wimbe, this is not a WiC rip off.
If you favorite please comment as well. Repeat offenders will be shot, survivors will be shot again.
