I finally made myself a new bag, to prototype the new features. I'm officially a bag matcher now - it matches the prototype hip pack I made for myself 2 weeks ago.

Attaching to any size belt (up to 2.5"), this hip pack features three small pockets, a key loop, a metal clip and slide roll holders. The small pockets are big enough to carry ID, Credit card or candies and small trinkets such as a pocket watch. One key loop is made of leather and the other is a small brass clip. It is made of 100% cotton in a spice tone and accented with brass rivets and square rings.

Open width is 14" and because of the button closures can be attached after the fact to an outfit.

Available plain (as shown) or distressed (please attach a note if you want it painted). Both styles can be had for $25.00. I am also willing to do it in different colors - such as dark brown, black, or tan and also with silver accents instead of brass.

In case you're wondering this is a model of a human spine. I had the last appointment today in my five months of chiropractic sessions. Seems I developed a pinched nerve from carrying an oversized purse on my shoulder for months and months wherever I went. What did I carry in the purse? - you might ask. Why my Olympus DSLR and two or three lenses!! ...along with all those millions of other things women pack around in purses!! So, after many wonderful appointments for adjustments and along with behavior modification on my part - I wear a small hip pack now and don't carry my camera and lenses with me 24/7 - my spine and neck are in great working order again. How men get by with a wallet tucked in a back pants pocket ... I'll never know!

So, now you see why I started a Flickr photostream for my iPhone work? Cause I may give up toting around my DSLR and lenses but I'm not giving up my cell phone!!! If you want to check out my other stream here's that link - PrayerSpaces

I always seemed to be missing out on those Hunter hip packs, so last year I decided just to sew my own. After using it all last year and all this year, I decided I wanted to add some compression straps to pull the load closer to my body so I made a new one while it rained. Next ride should be compressed.

First day back to school (which is why I'm in the library). Still working on the getting the etsy shop up and running too. Why give in to the doom and gloom? 2009 could be my best year ever.

"If I catch you wearing this, I will have to kill you!!"

And it's true, I cringed as I strapped it on for today's 365 portrait shot, but it's true, I -do- loathe the Fanny Pack, also known as the Hip Pack, the Side Saddle or that thing that really tells everyone in another country that you really are a tourist. So, for today's FGR challenge, I braved the Fanny Pack for "If I catch you wearing this, I will have to kill you!". Because there's nothing good about the Fanny Pack, it's just Bad Fashion. (Especially when it matches what you're wearing...)

A photo I took for my attempt at the 365 project a few years ago, was taken to show that you can't see everyone's problems as most are on the inside. I suffer with ankylosing spondylitis, which gives me problems with walking and general day to day tasks. A condition I like to keep hidden and don't like showing that I struggle to do things. It's a photo I hoped would make people aware of the condition and maybe even take a bit of time to look into it.

It was once my most viewed photo of all time before I reset my account back in 2010.

I plan on doing some fund raising for NASS in 2013.
