Corfe Castle is a fortification standing above the village of the same name on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. Built by William the Conqueror, the castle dates back to the 11th century and commands a gap in the Purbeck Hills on the route between Wareham and Swanage.

This shot was taken on a popular look-out point on the path between Pucks Glen and Benmore. Rather than showing the hills that can be viewed from here it shows the forest path that leads to the hillock.

Looking over a frozen hill Lochan towards the Hills "Sgurr an Fhidhleir" ( Beinn Mhor na Coigich ) and "Beinn an Eoin" in Wester Ross, Scottish Highlands.
It is one of the most inhospitable canyons in Serbia. Its depth is between 300 and 500 m and it has 70 caves and pits. Legend has it that after the battle of Marica in 1371, the cavalry of Prince Lazar came to this area, and stayed in the canyon for some time, hence the name. It became one of the most important places of refuge.

There once was a park
close to home
where it was pleasant
to walk paths alone.
The sky did its part
with the sun at its heart
Though the autumn
was too brief to atone.
Near the Panamint Springs entrance to Death Valley. Panamint Valley, so vast and desolate that it could be (was) mistaken by newcomers for Death Valley itself, lies to the east just beyond this hill.

We took a weekend trip to Ohio, and on our first morning there, I visited Hocking Hills State Park. Had a great time, seeing as much of the sights there that I could during the 7 hours I spent hiking and exploring the park.
