Lady with a delightful smile and in a hilarious hat at the Easter Sunday hat parade (April 09, 2023) on Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York. I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the parade ! !

My first attempt at night time photography proved to be a challenging and exciting one.

We planned to capture the super moon at Steetley Pier and had arrived several hours beforehand, to see which would be a good spot. All set and raring to go. it was slightly hilarious when we discovered the Ephamis wasn't quite right and I then had to quickly relocate.

What I'd read and planned all went out the window but I was pleased with this image I managed to capture. Lovely to meet fellow tog Gary Ward down there :)

Series of 4 photos showing a juvenile bald eagle coming in for scraps from mom. The 2nd shot is hilarious as the juvenile just crashes into mom.

A lichen may excel in vivid colors.

Let’s face it. Cats are a hilarious animal.

They are either evil masterminds, or complete derps, but either way, I will laugh at all the kitties.

Driving through the forest on the prowl for the orbacle and revenge, no-one could have predicted Crazy Horsehead Man would meat meet his doner donor (see below). The shock sent him literally into a spin and here's the result.

What a funny surprise this morning in my inbox!

I’ve never thought of Capitol Reef National Park as being a place for fall color, but in hindsight it’s kind of hilarious because of course there are trees here. After the mission to photograph the annual solar eclipse, we spent some time exploring this magical park. As we came around a bend in the road, a familiar place to me came into view. In my visit in 2018 I had noticed this stretch of sandstone wall and found it to be spectacular. Not a single leaf remained on the trees at that time however. The cottonwoods were bathed in sunlight and were just beginning their transformation into gold. The stunning striped wall behind in shadow provided contrast in brightness and color.

My scanner can be really uncooperative at times. I did kind of a crap job at scanning it (it's not actually that icky yellow tone. I'm so lazy.), but in the end, I love this 'Roid.

I need to buy a new one anyway. I'm thinking one of those multipurpose flatbed/neg scanners. I realize that the negative scans won't turn out as well as a dedicated negative scanner's scans would, but my technique for 120 neg scanning was killed by the demise of one scanner, so I need to be able to do that somehow. Anyone have any scanner recommendations? (I have more 120 negs sitting around - just waiting to be scanned - than I'd like. And also I'm pretty sure I didn't need to type the word "scan" and its various forms that many times.)

Who loves dive bars? I do! Yay Mr. Bing's. There were just so many photogs in there. It was kind of hilarious. That last D&S was kind of more massive than I expected. Not a bad thing, just unexpected.

Also? Whole first page of my stream? Instant film. Yay buddy.

you make me love life again

sorry for lack of usual "hilarious" addy rants. my life's just not bringing them on lately =P

my life is chaos

what goes on one day

is totally different the day after

people who like eachother one day

drama and drama and drama and even more drama

its times like these where you can't appreciate enough the one person who can make you happy no matter what kind of crap you're going through

matthew, if you're reading this, you're way too amazing.

One of the jobs I had as a Navy Photographer's Mates was being on call at night to do forensic photography. This shot was taken of a fire in a home on the U.S. Naval Air Base in Burmuda in 1980 late at night. I was 20 years old. All electricity was out and a group of locals followed me around with a failiing flashlight to give me something to focus on in the pitch black. In total darkness, I took pictures focusing on where the light fell. It was entertaining to see all the people in the room after the film was processed. I had no idea there was anyone other than the guy holding the flashlight. I captured some funny images, but my boss wasn't too happy with the forensic results. lol

New basics. That toque is kinda hugely hilarious but I think she works it! lol

Car parked hilarious in Oslo.

I had to take this picture.

After spending the morning with Joe, I spent the afternoon at AGES. I wasn't able to get there the last two weeks and couldn't even recognize some of the horses!? They're getting their winter coats and many have been moved to different paddocks. The mucking was already done when I got there so I just visited with them and shot some pictures :-)

I told Kate one of the funniest jokes she'd ever heard!

Turns out the joke was on me!? I was confusing Rudy for Kate and he went along with it :-)

Another shot where I landed a bubble on a flower. Let's just be clear though, it was tricky and would've made hilarious viewing should anyone have seen me. See previous bubble pic for full explanation.

The little mink was hilarious to watch, as it was in-and-out of this beaver hut like a yo-yo looking around.
