Foster Announces Investment at JW Kane Precision Engineering by DUP Photos

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster today announced that Craigavon company JW Kane Precision Engineering is undertaking a major investment, that will create 30 high quality jobs. The company currently employs 55 staff manufacturing high precision machined components for a number of high profile clients including Bombardier, Thales, BE Aerospace, GE Hamble and Fokker. Mark Pawsey, Parliamentary Candidate for Rugby Conservatives, has met the Managing Director of Technoset Ltd, a manufacturer of Precision Machined Components based on Glebe Farm Industrial Estate, together with the Chief Executive of the Manufacturing Advisory Service, West Midland to discuss the current difficulties facing the manufacturing sector.

Mark, a strong supporter of local manufacturing businesses, said: “As a parliamentary candidate I receive a fair few invitations to meet with various companies, groups and organisations. I am always keen to understand their relevance to Rugby and so when I was asked if I could meet a local company manufacturing high quality products for the Aerospace Industry, I was delighted to accept.

“Technoset Managing Director, Kevan Kane, showed me around his business in Rugby. I saw a well organised manufacturer of high precision machined components which has clearly benefitted from the input of experienced professionals from the West Midlands Manufacturing Advisory Service. Manufacturing is a tough business to be in at the best of times and today's climate is particularly difficult.

“As a country we need a strong manufacturing base to generate the wealth that enable Governments to do all of the good things we want them to do. I am pleased that there are strong manufacturing companies in Rugby and that advice is available from MAS to provide the back up and support that businesses such as Kevan's need.”

Design and Construction of a new 45,000 sq. ft. engineering and manufacturing facility. Brinkman provides special alloy, high precision machined components to the space and aeronautics industry. For security and durability, the facility envelope was constructed utilizing insulated site-cast concrete panels.
